As you footy fans will know, the thrilling prospect of a giant killing is coming up next weekend. The mighty Southport (Conference North Champions 2009/10 :smt047) will take on the glitz and glamour of League 1 in the shape of Sheffield Wednesday.

I've just checked on our website, record attendance at Haig Ave is 4,950 back in 98/99. I've been there once when 213 showed up :smt042 but it looks like its going to be a sellout.

Its on ITV on Sunday 7th at 12noon for those that can't make it to this epic event. But for those within driving distance, I encourage you to come down and join in the ****taking! Either way, we could do with the money :mrgreen:

So if anyones from a small town with stories of a famous FA cup upset they'd like to share please, humour me!

My looney (yes they have locked him up for it a few times) mate the impegnator, is a Southport fan when ever he is not a toffee. But I think he goes to get lashed in despair.

The main selling point of the town is our 3 maccys, but we don't like to brag ;)

Well we came, we saw, we got our @sses whooped :p but was still a good day out in the sun and I did manage to get my mug on TV :cool:

Not the not cancelling the game part, just that anyone could suck so bad that we could beat them 5-0 ;)

Did you like our mascot?? In what has to be the ****test costume i've ever seen, lions head that he has to constantly keep hold of lest it fall off,just him wearing his southport fc shirt, black leggings and a pair of trainees :laughat: he has since upgraded to a furry pair of yellow oversocks, the flash bas*ard!
