Just put down a deposit on a Street Triple R, and picking it up Monday. Havent even seen it myself yet! I have however had Speedplay cast his beady eye over it and he says its a minter, and so I'm happy to go on his recommendation.

Low miles, a year old and in a special colour so I'm happy to have a one off!

I was going to wait until Monday when I pick it up, but too excited. Not much of a shopping list to worry about, a few bits and bobs i'll be looking to adjust as I always do :D

You put a deposit down, i would have thought he should remove it. The deposit will compensate him if you pull out, he's surely just going to either let down a bidder or complicate matters.

Love the stripes, think it pulls it off quite well - not many vehicles do!

Dave as its a classified ad, there arent any bidders. It is up to potential buyers to contact and be told that its currently not for sale.

Just in from work so haven't had chance. Probably won't get any decent shots until the end of the week now. I'll just say that I managed 2 hrs and 150 miles in one stretch and stepped off without fatigue and only numb fingers to worry about. Great bike, can't wait to put some fun miles on it rather than slogging up the mway.

Think he meant 150 miles, distance ;)
or was you meaning 75mph x 2 hours ?

"Well duhhhhhhhhh" :)

I do tend to assume miles means miles, not miles per hour. Direction signposts would be seriously confusing if I didn't. Although I would get everywhere in exactly one hour, which would be nice.

Belly pan looks a bit plain though seeing as the other body panels have a white stripe. Not sure detailing on it would help though....
Jealous.
Definitely stick the arrow exhausts on there if you've got the cash though. Friend's dad has a street triple with the arrows on as his second bike. Went for a ride out with my mate when they got put on and the noise overwhelmed my SV without my baffle in!

Reeder I've already got the Arrows....these were pre-Arrow shots! Going to fit them in the next week or so.

For the bellypan, yeah it maybe is a bit plain but I dont want to over-do it. I have looked at a couple of other ideas to break up the large swathes of dark colour so might try something.

Mmmmmmm them arrows sound sweet, good choice. Get the slip-on map else it'l pop a lil too much (gets annoying). Oh, and rev the $hit out of it...they love it! :)

Learnt to ride on a GS500. Didn't mind it too much at the time (thought it was fast) but I knew no different other than a yamaha something 125 I did my CBT on.
Getting onto the SV felt nice and sooooo soooooo much faster, but I can't really compare the two much as I wasn't capable or confident enough to use the SV properly whilst I could still remember what the GS500 was like. Apparently I nearly scraped my pegs on the way back from the test center on the GS ;)

+ where abouts do you get the high level link pipes from? Originally wanted one. Kinda not too sure now incase I wanna take pillion. Can easily stick the footpegs straight back on with how it is now.

Ive been fitting the Arrows today, along with a radiator guard, a set of shorty levers and heated grips. I'm currently at the heated grips stage, had a few issues with cable routing and the throttle tube needing to be shaved but hopefully going to get it all back together for some more photos.

Just to add for those who have a Street Triple, if you're thinking about the Arrows, they are LOUD! Sounds superb though!
