Hi

Does anyone on here have a ZX6R? My brothers bought an 05 C1H and am going to do a mini service on it.

Intend to replace the oil fileter and oil on the bike. I am thinking of just using Hein Gericke Semi-Synthetic Motorcycle Oil 10W40. Would this suit the 636 engine or does anyone recommend another product?

Thanks

Yes any good quality 10w/40 preferably one that is made from ester based stock as opposed to mineral based as it wont break down as quick. Pick up a new sump plug gasket while your getting the oil also. For what they cost its worth using a new one.

Put in nearly 60,000 miles so far on my ZX6R J (mechanically all but the same to G & A1P).
Any decent semi-synth that meets the API SG standard and JASO MA, will be fine. I had a few sumps full of the HG Semi-synth and the bike seemed happy enough on track or commuting with it.

oil changed. We put Motul 5100 Semi Synthetic 10W40 in. Although the idiot at HG gave me the wrong filter!!
