The husband of one of my wifes friends runs CBT & DSa courses, so I tagged along today to see what it entailed
I enjoyed myself, so I'm going to start the training to be an instructor. Most of the CBT is just common sense
The girl who did her CBT today was very good, especially as she'd never ridden a bike before. Rode off in the school playground without any help, great throttle control right from the start. :riding:.
So here goes  :riding:
Good on ya
Something i'd be interested in in the future, teaching CBT to kids at the weekends. I remember the guy I had for mine going back 11 years now, he was ace really made it a fun day

Its good to do something I enjoy as a hobby, plus giving something back too
And pick up some tips along the way ;)

I won't be doing this full time, but it would be nice for something to fall back on in the current economic climate, as I don't know what is going to happen to my job as a result of the spending cuts (oh review, not cuts) :smt070
Some of my colleagues took early retirement, one has started her own dog walking & garden service just to tide her over until her pension kicks in, so I'm thinking it would be useful to have another skill I can use.

Good stuff :-)
I looked into this a couple of years back, but decided no at the time, but, I may try again, as my job is no longer viable. Weekend nights with two kids errrr no!
Besides with the rise in folk doing bike courses as cars are too expensive.......

People are under the impression that you can just do it a few hrs a week, well up here they do, don't know down sarrf. The place I went to said it wasn't just for a few extra pennies at the weekend, like some people expect to do. Its damn hard work at times, all year, all weathers, and the pay isnt that good. BUT for someone like me, who is looking for a small income, to back up the other half and be a mum.....
TBH, its about time I got off my butt and went to see them again.

This blokes a one man band and just does it at the weekend, so perfect for me on my current work roster
The main schools are probably poorly paid, same as driving school instructors
