No big deal, going round for the paper and a mobility scooter comes charging round the corner and runs over my foot knocking me out of the way. Best about it is the old biddy doesn't bother to stop but carries on regardless.-----is this a fail to stop accident:)
MOBILITY SCOOTERS ARE A MENACE
Probably a comedy to anybody watching,me sat on my rse then chasing down the road after a mobility scooter, but it could have been serious and it was devil may care attitude that upset me more than anything.
Posted to cheer you up on a Monday morning

There is an "old dear" round here that will drive her mobility scooter on the pavement and more fool you if you dont move out of the way when she is coming.
She will mow you down if you dare to have a stand off!
Hope your foot is OK :)

Dob her in to the old bill :smt070
Or set a man trap for tomorrow morning muruhahaha :p
dob her into the old bill then goto your docs/hospital and then contact a ambulance chaser.
I'm sure they'll happily sue her for you for neglagence of running you over.
Failing that, cheese wire at 1inch high should slow her down a little

Many years ago when I worked in Sainsburys an old bloke on a mobility scooter ran over another customer who promptly had a fit on the floor, all credit to the Manager who immediately banned the old bloke for driving dangerously.

Old blokey recently died on the IOW after some biddy ran into him on a mobility scooter
They're a menace on the pavement and a PITA on the road, another guy rides his up the steepest hill in town up to a T-junction, getting slower and slower the closer he gets, right in the middle of the road - how he's not been flattened by a truck turning in I don't know

Haha - They made the reeeeally steep hill in Ventnor one way only, downhill
In Shanklin this guy rides up St Johns Road up to Victoria Avenue (Google Streetview (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=st+johns+road,+shanklin&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=St+John%27s+Rd,+Shanklin,+Hampshire+PO37+7NR ,+United+Kingdom&gl=uk&ei=LcXOTKPZIsTH4AbhpM3cDA&ved=0CBgQ8gEwAA&ll=50.62825,-1.181044&spn=0.000728,0.002642&t=h&z=19&layer=c&cbll=50.62837,-1.181059&panoid=CRSwLxfMTBh29vefI6wDjQ&cbp=12,169.7,,0,5))
Doesn't look so steep on streetview but the junction is a liability for people turning in too wide...

I know that Road, it is rather steep, although personally i tend to stay in the middle of the island when down there.

Wonder if his name is Dangerous Dave whilst riding that trumpet sprint with no gloves and not really holding on much either

Hey Mac - if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Just wear all your bike gear then ram them on the paths
Oh and put a decent loud can on it

A few years ago my mate used to be a security guard in a shopping centre in Edinburgh. My mum who does not have a driving license got to borrow a mobility scooter from shop mobility at the centre.
Almost wet myself laughing when she told me my mate had given her a warning about her driving. She was going too fast and if she didn't slow down she would be banned from the centre.
Mum didn't realise that if you pressed gently on the lever you went slower. She just thought you pushed the lever and that was it!!! Full Speed around the shops with customers jumping out of her way!!!
Mum in law had her leg broken by a Hell's Granny.
