the singleplayer is allrite on PC, went on the multi-player online on the xbox and switched it off after 10 minutes, dont even know why I wasted a disk on it tbh becuase I knew i wouldn't play it before i burnt it, cant put up with the poor graphics of console fps's they are shocking.
Think I will buy it for the PC as an early x mass present.

Games good, but the menus, smoothness and network are rubbish, nightmare if you want friends to join your games, keeps kicking them off, the mics tonight were only letting some people hear and not others in the same friends lobby.
You cant mute tw4ts in the lobby, have to wait for the game to start to do it.
Terrible lag tonight also.

The join session feature was much better / easier on MW2, if the lobby was full the join session wouldnt show up so you wouldnt waste your time, this one dont, it spends 30 seconds trying to get you in and then tells you the lobby is full :evil:

So far not impressed at all, not a long termer this, unless updates sorts the problems out.

Ive not played the single player but like the multi player. the way you have to buy and customise guns with money is a decent idea, i love that they got rid of stopping power and juggernaut. some people must have found cheats as the ppl at the top to the team deathmatch scores have like 700+ points per min which i cant see happening without some kinda cheat. All in all i quite like it and will keep playing it.

I quite like it, I'm not a big fan of treyarch games and its much more clunky thank MW1 and MW2 but I'll get used to it. I hate the leaderboard style too. I also hate the spawns, people just randomly spawn behind you. On previous games you always knew you could spawn and mess around for bit before getting killed again but on this one you spawn in the middle of the action or with the enemy stood next to you.

I hate the way Treyarch milk the map packs as well.

It's growing on me though.

I played the combat training last night for the first time, it was awesome.
Freaky to get killed by your 'mates' even though i know some of them havent got the game and to watch the AI players kill other AI players, brilliant.

It's massively improved since release day. I was suffering heavily with lag and finding it near impossible to win any one on one kills. So for it to change has improved my enjoyment of the game overall. I'll certainly be persevering with it for now. ill trade mw2 in while its still worth something.

I played it on my mates Xbox and had a good first game and from then on got raped!!!

Found I was shooting people but they just didn't seem to die. And then they shot me!!

I have a good surround sound system but a head set picks up noise and sounds so much more it's unreal and I just have a cheap set.

Speirs, it was the same with waw, you can't just spray and pray as it's really inaccurate because of recoil, you have to tap shoot like firing a real gun which is really accurate.

its better after the patch but iv just checked my nat type and its on moderate not open this could have been the main problem with joining friends not shure if it makes laggy or not , to check yours go to the multiplayer options then press select, thats for ps3 users. o yeah iv now assigned my ps3 to my bt homehub and reset it twice but still stuck on moderate , any ideas ?????

like i said check your nat type if its on moderate or strict then your going to find it a problem with friends

I was always a big fan of the Battlefield series on the PC (loved BF2 and BF2142 and haven't played the newer ones). Do you guys have any opinions on BF Bad Company 2 in comparison to MW2 and Black Ops? How does it compare in single and multi player modes versus the others?

It's a lot calmer and slower Kai. Perhaps slightly more tactical than the usual ideas of those playing COD of just running about like maniacs shooting everywhere :P

Agree the hackers on MW2 were a bit of a pain, but still used to beat them, plus, if was obvious, I would just leave the game.

I'm just getting bit cheesed off with the games constantly crashing....even though I have a steady and constant 5mb connection minimum....sometimes at 8mb.

Er yes they are matey, me, my mate and loads of people in the lobbies moan about it.

When you try and do lobbies with friends it just randomly kicks you out even if You was the lobby starter.

The game is a bit poo though. The spawning is a joke, you cankill yourself at the start of Jungle and you will then respawn behind the enemy team!! The spawning alone ruins it for me, the game is perfect for sitting and camping in one spot if thats your thing.

The olympia is pretty epic with 'slight of hand' marathon and lightweight. The SPAS within the actual game has a dragons breath attachement which is amazing.

It dont do enough damage, i have shot people point blank in the head and it hasnt killed them.
With the old aa full auto shotgun i could get 3-4 kills in a room on HQ games before they had time to react, i would have to reload 3-4 times with the olympia.

I'm using the good-ol Aug. Love it as its quick, recoil isn't too bad. Only problem is long shots aren't the easiest.

Bit gutted that Slight of Hand Pro doesn't enable quick look down Sniper rifles. Used to love legging it round a map using a sniper rifle to get people even at close range, then be able to skin them at long range too. lol.

I think the famas is one of the best guns i have used, the high fire rate weapons seem to work better for me, perhaps its my close range accuracy? or lack of it lol
Its also not too shabby at distance as well.

+1 will give the BC2 vietnam maps a go but have to agree cod is more fun but still annoying (cos im rubbish and have a 1mb connection) at the same time commando is a tidy weapon as is ak47/silencer

True......I did notice on MW2 the amount of hackers has gone up massively. There was a game where some idiot was just stood in a corner pulling the trigger which led to random people all over the map just dying!!!

Made me give up COD all together whilst I was ill and watch DVD's!!!

I like the gameplay on this, I found im better on this at toe to toe gun battles than other FPS, but I can't stand the constant kicking off, waiting around for it to find me a game, kicking friends off and not letting you connect with them.

I played mw1 the other day, didn't crash once, took seconds to get into a game, just simple menus but works.

I have heard this does work, my brothers ps3 broke before he could try it.
He had a slim for X-Mas & so far no issues although I wouldn't go to the extreme of getting a new ps3 ;)
