View Full Version : suzuki uk are plonkers
just had a look on the GB website and they have withdrawn the SV650 Sport. well done you retards. so we are left with a shizzy looking white and blue crap with no lowers or seat cowl.
Guess they only resurrected it to wind down stock on lowers then...

I also noticed there's no DR400 anymore?
And someone at Suzuki decided that it would be a good idea to make the new 600 look like a dog! (http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/bike/gsxr600l1/gallery/)
Not the sexiest headlight in the world, really.

Does this mean resale value will be better or worse?
Does this mean resale value will be better or worse?
Probably :)
It's a strange move. But then it's the same bike, basically, just not pretending to be "Sporty", plus they sell the lowers at a premium to those that really want them.

Yeah but I am sure a suzuki dealership would be more than happy to fit a seat cowl and lowers, I would hazard a guess it will be a standard offerings from sales staff...still only one colour choice seems bonkers! I'm very glad I got an L0 sport :)
When ever I look on that site I can't get over why the Hayabusa is all of £100 more than the GSXR1000, or why the GSXR1000 is only £100 less more like it...

I would want the gixxer out of the 2 but when you see the price difference it just seems wrongly priced...doesn't matter though as I'll no doubt get a KTM next (more than 1 year off though so who knows what catches my interest by then)

I was actually contemplating the Superduke or SMT to be honest, a complete change from what I have been thinking of in the past...the RC8 got me to a dealership but then I had a good hard look at the options and myself...although I still want a big V-twin for the thrill and riding style maybe something with more acceleration, less top end and that's semi-naked would be better...so I know when I am going too ruddy quick...
Closer to the time I will test ride the RC8, superduke, SMT and Adventure and decide then...might be tempted to try the Tuono 1000 if there's still a v-twin available new around...
To put this back on the rails a bit :) If Suzuki had updated the SV1000 to be within EU emission rules (I think that's why manufacture was halted?) and continued to make them I'd maybe just take the small step up from the 650....but would probably lose my license then...if I don't beforehand!

Maybe they're close to updating the SV?
It's just about that time of year to start those rumours again, isn't it? :)

It was for the naked SV, it was never designed to replace the Half Faired S.
I think..
Seeing as it hasnt had any development work since `07, then surely its well over due some r and d time.
At £4.5K surely theyre killing used values?
