Picked up 3 new ones last night, (late, in the car, empty road and wasn't paying enough attention to my speedo), bringing me up to a slightly unnerving 9 now, until the big 6 come off next October.
Bugger!!!
This is going to be a very long 12 months! Time for a slow naked bike for a while I think?

Seen one locally, awesome. Loud as anything as it filtered through an impossible gap towards the lights, 90 degree slide into the cycle zone then a wheelie across the junction.

I was on 9 for about a year a little while ago. It's devastating, you realise your next flash means a ban, insurance rating destroyed and untold misery. Rigid speed limit adherence takes a lot of concentration compared to the natural speed driving I had got used to. I've never driven with a 15 car tailback before but that's what it's like, especially through the 30's that used to be 60's. Cars up your chuff weaving left and right and gesticulating!
Oddly enough it did completely change the way I drive, I still pootle about and have a tailback behind me. I think I realised it was so much less stressful to be the slow one and it made absolutely FA difference to how quickly I got anywhere. I still get to work in the rush hour beside BMW's who have been 'on one' the whole way trying to get past everyone and swap lanes every 200 yards. I don't twinge when I see a cam van anymore either. Went from 35mpg to 50mpg too.
That's in a car though, I was still the same on the bike!!! (well they never caught me on that so psycollogimiamialy it seemed ok).

Oh well, next time you speed just do whatever speed you want, you're getting a ban anyway. In for a penny in for a pound!

Which means that all 9 of my points are c/o the A75... Supposedly voted as the second best road in Scotland by some bike magazine recently?! Wtf?!

:stupid:
You are stoopid! Do not speed on straight bits of the 75 unless you wish to earn points....
But anyway, I would rather get a suit than a white hat...won't see me with a hairdryer at the side of the road anytime soon!

I heard that Aprilia moved from their offices from just outside Stranraer after almost all their staff got points for speeding - read that in one of the bike magazines somewhere.... still, it must be nice to have no crime to deal with.....
Can we put money in a kitty and start a pool for when we think your ban will be?

I know, I know... normally I don't, and hadn't meant to on this occasion but my mind was on other things and stupidly didn't check the speedo until it was too late.
Seriously going to have to look at picking up a smaller bike come spring time for the months until my 6 points come off. Looking very much like either a wee Supermoto or a baby 250 Hornett at the minute.

unlucky matey. Nearly got flashed myself on Friday but spotted the camera in time, car in front obviously didnt and got flashed. wasnt feeling too clever when I stacked the bike coming back on the same road (but on a different stretch) the next day.

Not any more, under our new "Management" intell entries and stop-checks are apparently more important than drink drivers and thieves getting locked up.

Exactly why I sold the Triumph Daytona and got a Ducati Monster!
