OK, dont shoot me, i'm playing nice guy here.

My dad has a 02 Ducati ST4s (996 V-twin engine) and His clutch has worn out due to use, or at the minute lack of use.

Could anyone reccomend somewhere to get some replacement parts for his clutch (plates as a start) for cheep?
I've found a couple on the bay for ariound £75 and sent him on those links.
He seams to think that it'll cost him £250 just to fix the clutch.

It's a nice bike and it's a shame to see it sat in his shed being wasted, i've got my eyes on the tyres if they'll fit the SV as since he had them put on they've done a grand total of... ~40 miles.

As you can tell he doesnt take the bike out much but now i'm mobile again on my SV we may as well get him out on his, maybe reffer him to here to join the non-sv owners on the boards.

We've always used Moto Rapido in Winchester, but its a bit of way to travel for you to get them unless they'll post them out to you.

Have a read of www.ducatisti.co.uk best forum for advice TBH.

I bought a s/h clutch from Ebay for around 70 quid. He might need a new basket though as they get notched. My last one went over 25k but it was out of service limits well before that. You can file the notches out apparently. Not tried it myself.

Are you sure it does need changing? Is it slipping?

Second what CatherineWheel said, try Ducatisti too.

Are Moto Rapido any good? They have an 09 plate Fazer advertised on Autotrader that I may be interested in. Was going to email them today.

I rate them very highly, professional, thorough, service and customer care is excellent.

They've been brilliant with Liz's 749, cant fault them at all.
