View Full Version : Is it a bird, is it a plane...or is it a missile being denied by the US???

It appears a missile was launched off the coast of California...was it an illusion? The US governments stance on this is weird!
So, they will strongly reassure America that it is not a foreign attack missile, yet can say thay it is not one of theirs.
One expert says it's an airplane coming towards the camera. Another says it is not a tomahawk, but more likely a ballistic missile.
Who to believe??? I do know that I find it questionable that in this day in age, the US government can confirm something not to be a threat to national security when at the same time, they admit they don't know what it is...lol

Maybe it was an amateur with a lot of money to burn?
Either that or Hank'n'Bud got pi$$ed on board a submarine and dared each other to push the big red button!
Pete ;)

You have to love their military "expert"
"It could be a test firing of an ICBM from a submarine, an underwater submarine..."
What other variety of submarine is there?

While I'm on, what is it about some Yanks and everything being a display of military might???
It could be anything but the first thing the guy jumps to is posturing to scare the Asians:confused:
I swear, it's like the big kid at school who used to beat up everyone else, then you see him 20yrs later after he's come to terms with his latent homosexuality and is porking a hairdresser named Julian???

Mark...that guy cracked me right up. So, the US wastes valuable warheads by "showing" what they can do while they're leader is visiting another country???
I bet they're quaking in their boots!

What a guy
One of the theories I read on this last night was another country (i.e. China, Russia, etc) creping up just inside international waters off California and saying "Boo!", we can do this and you didn't see it coming.

The kind that can't launch its missiles while submerged? Those do exist.

Don't forget the sandbank submarine the Royal Navy has just developed, as proudly displayed a week or two ago off the coast of Skye.
I doubt governments really tell us about the real threats there are, either cos they don't understand them or it's simply not in their interest to disclose the info to the public.
The threats we might think are the worst might be no where near as bad as the real threats that we don't know about.
