I got a call saying I owed £400 estimated. Turns out they owe me £75:01. I am still waiting for that! Who said you can't get blood from a stone?

I was at one of my offices the other day, one guy was jumping at joy... £400 rebate. The guy who sat next to him got his mail at the same time and was really excited about his HMRC letter... He quickly ripped it open £7800... Except he owed the tax man it lol something to do with his mining pension! Wounded

ouch!!! gutted for him, i think i would die if i found out i owed the tax man that much,

also, if you owe the tax man, im sure they can start interest charges on the amount, now, the real question, can you add interest onto whatever money they owe you, from the dates they have shown???

Er no, they have one rule for them and another for you, thats why everybody hates the tax man.

I got a cheque to reimburse me for overpaying my tax. Great I thought till 9 months later when they said they wanted it back because "I" had made a mistake and I had no right of appeal. He's permanently off my christmas card list!
