I received an email from a friend of my mum's whom I was in contact with recently...I thought I'd put the text here to see if I could generate some warmth from the org...

If you knew what it was like to be married to a Submariner for 54 years, you never get time to take it easy.
The Submariner is unique, and I love them all, no matter what their nationality. I have been privileged to
meet submariners from around the world. You all have a common enemy - the Sea- I salute you all.
God Bless, I am happy that you crossed my path of life.


I have to admit that I feel quite unable to reply to this as I am simply lost for words. How do you follow that?

Yep, you've got to be special and suited to be able to be a submariner

I've always been facinated by subs, but could i do the job, I don't think so

I was volunteered in - only spent my last 4 years in boats but they were the best :-)
