Wow eventful night! Luckily all ok but could have been worse.. Took the bro and his mrs to skunk anansie gig in manc tonight and as he's only cbt I took his mrs pillion and we went back roads. Great ride there amazing gig and all was well until ...
Oxford road loads of lights and crossroads. Overtook a few buses that kept stopping for passengers and then the next one as the same as the rest, bus pulled over and stopped so we stayed in right lane and pressed on. Turns out the double decker was hiding the red light for a junction so I slammed on the anchors and braced for my passenger to run into me.. Stopped over the line but out of harms way. Phew. Then crash, brother thought same of bus, only realised when i'd stopped and the bus peeped to warn us. His ybr brakes no match for my gixxer 4pots, clips my pillion and me and shoots past us sliding down the road. Proper scary but gets up and dusts off and no broken pegs / bones and lots of people helping out. Turns out biggest injury was his shin from pillion footpeg, large gouge exposing an inch of bone :S through 3 layers of protection!! unfortunately just above top of boot. rode home before looking at the leg and got back safe before him getting on mine and heading to a&e... All patched up and finally in bed at 6.30am...
Immediately thought oh crAp his bike is gonna be fudged after he only got it back after vandalism last week but worst damage seems scratched footpegs and wonky headlight!
So surreal, first pillion, first crash and it happened to be with my own brother! Could have been so much worse so Great to see ths full set of equipment do it's job and reassuring to know.
Ride safe peeps! Night!
