:-({|=Spent 4 hours in A & E last night with daughter. She fell backwards, tripping on the kerb at the taxi rank and landed on her wrist. Ambulance called and an impressive lump on the back of her hand which, at first thought, was a compound. After seeing the X-Ray she's done a good job of breaking through both the Ulna and Radius and the swelling is just tissue damage.

She is now sporting this seasons look of a white, half covered, cast to allow the swelling to settle and is booked for fracture clinic next week to get the proper one put on. Recovery time = 8 weeks, which takes her into the New Year. :santa:

:stupid:MOTTO : Don't get tipsy, where stupid high heels and pratt about at the taxi rank on the way home.

Usually no sympathy for alcohol related injuries but actually she did such a fantastic job that I do feel for her. (Still doesn't get her out of working though).

Gav - feel free to pop down this week if you get sacked to extract the urine! There's no morphine that can numb the pain of humiliation

Ouchy! Think my pal has done the same! She had been to A+E before I even got up this morning. I don't remember her falling but apparently she did. Mind you, I don't remember much of the night...

My daughter obviously didn't inherit the brains of the family ......

She just came in saying she bought a hat and scarf, and started looking for gloves......

I said she should have asked for a half priced discount.
