Congratulations to my Wife

Just wanted to share something (no she isn't pregnant!!!),

But my amazing Wife who has had to endure working for one of the most difficult places I have ever experienced has finally been given the recognition she deserves and has been offered a job at a FTSE100 Life & Pensions company.

She will now be able to actually train and work for a company doing the right kind of work she enjoys......rather than being dumped with all the stuff that no-one else wants to do.

I am soooooooooo chuffed for you and can't explain enough how happy I am that you have been offered the job.

I am so so so proud to be honest. I have been on the recieving end of some nights with a very grumpy and fed up Lily. Yet she always knew to just stick at it and eventually an opportunity has arisen.

It was, that was for my 1st interview, I had my 2nd interview on friday which only lastest about 15/20 mins so thought I had messed it up, and they did more talking than me. But it seems I didn't! :D

Well I've had my offer (its fab!) :smt026

And handed my notice in on tuesday... WOW that felt good! :D

I've given my current employer more notice than needed due to the fact my current roll involves running the payroll for all 260 employees!

My boss has taken my handing my notice in as a complete personal attack on her! Rather than me moving on for me and my own career! Could make till xmas eve fun! She has gone very business like and double checking my work (which she has never done!). All nice-a-ties(?) that was there have disappeared, and it has made the working relationship a bit umm well difficult!

Most people in the organisation are pleased and wished me the best, and most have commented that I am a jammy bitch for finding a job to be able to get out! The only person that hasn't said congratulations in my boss, who instead said "I am making a mistake by leaving!" Maybe but my mistake to make!

I have had a bit of a roller-coaster of a week however the reaction that I have received from my boss since handing in my notice has reassured me that I am 100% doing the right thing..... Roll on the 24th December! :D
