Most I have done before filling up is 130 on a full tank, light generally comes on around 115 on my bike.

I had 187 miles from 14 litres at a constant 85mph down the M6 and M5 the other day. Hull to Strencham services :-)

How???
My fuel light usually starts blinking around the 100 mile mark ('99 sv)

No, has 2 litres left, only put in 14.02 litres :-) when it is at a constant speed the bike does good MPG, only does 40-45mpg in town...

Could I draw your attention to exhibit A

I've started using a nerdy app called fuelpad on my phone to track consumption. 46mpg seems average mixed commute/A road with 41 as pure town this gives me:
town: flashing light on (13L) ~120 miles
mixed: flashing light on (13L) ~ 130 miles
out of town, flashing light on (13L) ~ 140 miles
There is a 2 stage light on the curvy: Flashing: ~3L left, constant ~1.5L left. I usually do 20-something miles from flashy light if I know that fuel stations are fairly frequent.
I ride mostly in London. Worst to the flashy light has been about 108, At Brands hatch it was a little lower than that.

On my ZX I normally get about 80 miles to £10 or about 120 to a tank most I had was 160 least was 60 to a tank, when I was :smt068it.

ok cheers for all that people, tomorrow i am planning on doing a 500 mile round trip from London to Eastbourne to Southampton to Torquay and then back to London. just want to know what sort of ££ it would cost.
On my ZX I normally get about 80 miles to £10 or about 120 to a tank most I had was 160 least was 60 to a tank, when I was :smt068it.
Really? I've managed over 200 miles to a tank on my ZX6R. Must be the more efficient fuel injection you've got that I keep reading about...

Yup.I used to get that from a ZX6R too,and I still get that out of my old skool carby ZX9R.Thats progress for you.:D
I have an SV650S (2007 model) with a full fairing - I've been measuring how many miles I get out of a tank - I've found that on average I get around 150 miles from a tank (filling up around 15 litres a time) if I fill up with 95 ron fuel, and I actually get an average of 160 miles from a tank using 97 ron - I attribute this to the smoother feeling I get from 97 ron fuel giving me more confidence at low revs. I ride at low revs anyway (3-4000 RPM most of the time) to achieve this, and this is mostly commuting to work through town.
As the revs go much higher if I take it above 55-60 mph, I get reduced fuel economy on longer rides where I tend to ride faster - motorway (70mph+) missions tend to see around 110 miles to a tank or less, although I don't get to ride out as often as I'd like so I don't have as much data to support this.
Hope this helps!

214 mile from south wales to preston thru a 30 mile traffic jam on the m6 and still had enough to get to the petrol station the next day (3 mile away )
but someone was looking after me that day

I am getting about 135 - 145 miles before the light starts blinking at me, mainly commuting on a half faired K6.
When the roads get grippy again I will be trying harder...
I always get at least 150 out of my SV650. Normally more... :-)

I get ~130 (got it down to 100 when really gunnin' it) before light starts flashing when I'm scratching back roads and ~180 when cruising..
That would come up to ~160 for itch scratching and ~220 for cruising. But I truly ride like your grandma when it comes to cruising, keeping it at ~60 and sometimes don't touch the brakes for many miles (e.g. don't loose energy)

If it really takes that much gas to clean off, it's better that professional medical help be sought out :|

My 2000 curvey gets to around 150 miles before the light starts to flash and the most mileage i've had before filling it up when the light was on permanently was 175 before i filled it up and even then it only took just over 14 litres.

TBH I have given up totally with all this ****. I tried to use the fuel guage on my sat nav which is a waste of time because it doesn't know if you are kicking the bike to death or riding like a Romanian grandma. The findings between different bikes are massive.
Best advice you will get is, when the light comes on you need petrol. If you are stuck miles from anywhere you are fooked.
i always get petrol at 120miles even though i know it will go 160 with no problem. better being safe than sorry. if you know your going to be in the sticks carry a petrol can just in case.

You'd be surprised, but some of them could teach eco drivers a thing or two.. But don't get near'em, because they don't know what a mirror on a car does. Most of them have adjusted their mirrors to reflect their makeup...

Or some decent walking shoes cos bike boots kill to walk in.

I just realised this thread is about curveys, lol. My old curvey used to do 60mpg easy riding and about 45-50mpg town riding

Iv only let the light flash on my curvy a handful of times, as I'm paranoid about running out of fuel. 90% of the time it's around 160miles.
When I had my curvy majority of the time the light would come on at around 120-130 miles. most I ever got before the light came on was 165 :smt120
But then again I don't have big enough balls to use the throttle like an on off switch ;)

i dont think ive ever got more than 130 before the light comes on, on either of my 2 SV's...
for some probably unconnected reason, the light almost always comes on at 122 miles! STRANGE?!?
i get 130 - 135 miles before fuel light flashes then have 20 miles or so left before im walkin (2000 curvey)

I get around 160 miles before the low light starts flashing, although I went for a ride with a mate on his Kymco 125 & I got 69 mpg!!!

Ive managed 182 miles from full tank to the light first start flashing a few times. Boring as hell (motorway) but still good consumption
130 to the flashy light in town, 160 elsewhere on my old k2

My curvy has always gone to about 130 if on a long journey, the light has never come on but have always considered 130 a good point to refill and have a break. MPG is usually less if I am running around with friends on and off the throttle, never worked the MPG out as I struggle to count once I run out of fingers and toes. . .
If your really gentle with the throttle you can get 290 miles to a tank. This is my normal range I get on my 66 miles/day commute on dual carriage way cruising at 60mph. It averages 86mph. The fuel light starts flashing at 255- 260 miles.

Not possible, you must go down hill everywhere with that kind of MPG...

To get that you would have to be VERY gentle with the throttle...
like not touching it.

Got 125 to £15 this week on my zx, but I did have it on the dyno on Saturday, so it got revved the f**k out of and at one point read 186 mph. :smt103
Tried to get a pic but by the time the iphone took the pic he let go of the throttle so reads 175 mph.
