Hi,
I have got my bike and I want to do some colour coding and I can't find the colour code on the bike, I haven't got the manual the shop is sending it to me when the previous owner brings it in.
Its the pointy one.

EDIT: It's Marble Something Red, but I can't remember what the something is.
I'm fairly sure of the code, YHH, though.

A decent paint shop will match it with the bike details i.e year, model and frame number

Yes that's it! Or something like it anyway. It's an odd name whatever it is.

my cousin had a k6 but beware that year saw 2 reds, one like cherry red and one marble ericus red which was a brighter red.

Oh so it could be one of two, do you know where the code is kept on it. Or would a deal help me get it

a main dealer will tel you straight away what it is :) id say its the marble ericus red being a 56 plate the duller red was on the older bikes me thinks.

Wasn't there also a sticker on the bottom of the tank?

Marble Erakis Red YHH was not metallic, it was solid. BUT if it's a K5 which was in stock a long time then registered in 2006, then it could be a Pearl Crystal Red YU7.

Not this is for all Suzuki bikes, just 'cos it's on here, doesn't mean it was on an SV.

Here's a YU7 tail section (left) on a YHH bike. It's so subtle that it can only be seen in direct daylight and not indoors, and nobody who hasn't had it pointed out to them has ever noticed it. It's just like the shade difference from a panel that has been bleached by exposure to the sun, but when you look very closely you can see one is solid and the other is Pearlescent. This photo is specifically taken from the angle and in the light that shows it the most obvious.
Does your bike have that really deep red gloss finish (look at the pillion seat cowl), or more of a Rosy pearl finish (look at the tail section on the left)? Your avatar suggests YHH, but it really would be impossible to tell from a photo unless the two are side by side.

Ask a friend to help you? Or maybe your doctor can tell you what your 'P' code is. ;)

Like I said already when I had trouble contact your local Suzuki Dealer, Parts Dept, Give them your chassis number and they will give you the paint code.
Hope that helps.
