K3 cleaning brakes for winter

Hi All

I will be removing my Brake pads tomorrow and cleaning and copper slipping ready for winter. Also checking tread depths on my tyres as this will be the first winter i will use my bike through.

Any good tips welcome....:D

Learn how to strip and lube calipers completely as just copperslipping the backs of the pads won't stop your brakes seizing.

Brother in law doing tomorrow, he is a mecanic so i will make sure he does all

Car mechanics and even a lot of bike mechanics don't do a proper job on it as matter of course... they wait for them to seize then fit entirely new seals at great cost. Make sure he knows what he's on about :-P

Make sure you have some red rubber grease as well as the copper slip, brake cleaner, some rags and a small block of wood.
