I think after they have votes, the originator cannot edit them. With my mighty modness, I added pork pie - is that what you wanted? :D

mmmmmm pies.
I like many types of pie, there is a place in Reading called Sweeney Todds that sell brilliant pies. I really like the ones with game like venison and boar when they are in season but I dont like offal.

Edit: The steak and stilton one is also a close contender for favourite

Well as I live in Wigan I feel I have to provide input into this conversation as the pie was actually invented in Wigan in 190BC and it is widely know that Wigan does produce the greatest of all pies.

My personal favourite is the meat and potato pie produced by Edwards and you can only get them from 1 pie shop in Wigan market and nowhere else.

I once brought 4 to Blackpool where I used to work and they couldn't believe how good they were.

You need to evict DarrenSV650S and run him across the border for voting for Balti Pie! He belongs in Birmingham along with the Brummie that set up the poll ;)

There wasn't enough poll options for every pie ;)

And... Considering the pie was an English invention, I put up ones I knew about.
Btw I hate balti pies, had one once down the blues cos they ran out of every other one.

Any day that has a pie eaten in it be a good day!

Chicken Ham and Leek is a particularly tasty pie, but I would prefer a savoury to sweet any time - the only pies I don't particularly like are mince pies.

Scotch pie is delish too :D

So to summarise, we love pies, dont care what flavour as long as its a pie.

You wasted an option with chicken and vegetable :p

I prefer chicken and mushroom to chicken and veg, but I'll eat most hot filled pastry dishes.

Between me and you, it was supposed to be chicken and mushroom, it was a typo. I don't think I have even had a chicken and veg pie !!

Scottish mince pie with beans on top

P.S.Genuine Cornish pastie is a type of pie and that has meat and veg at one end and sweet at the other but I've never been brave enough to try one.

Never even seen any of them, but have heard that. must take some precision biting to avoid a very nasty combo in the middle!

Ooooh controversial :D

Savoury / sweet combo, all veg, beef skirt, chuck steak, scrag end of mutton all lay claim to being the "genuine" filling. It all depends on which village you grew up in, and which side of the border you are.

I know Cornwall is,lets say eccentric, but they have borders on the villages? I came back from Truro/Newquay last Saturday and I do not know what the lunch time pastie was but after enough liquid refreshment it tasted fine to me.;)

Borders? Lets just say that old rivalries run very deep. So long as your pasty didn't come in a plastic wrapper you'll be alright.
