Just had a look, some of the bidding is laughable, thats before buyer premium plus tax plus money transfer tax plus plus

For instance, lot 187 - £70 already !!

I have signed in and keeping my eye on some things.
You cant say its **** when you dont know how much the stuff is gonna go for.
If the arai chasers go for £120 inc taxes and fees then thats an absolute bargain.
Ive got my eye on a couple of bikes as well,to sell on not keep.
They are selling whole displays of accessories inc racking which might be a bargain also.

The premium to auctioneer is 15% plus VAT.

Does that mean 15% + 17.5 on the 15% ... so 17.625% total charge OR does it mean 15% plus 17.5% on total payable so 35.125% charge?

Dunno. But lot one becomes a very expensive two year old ZX10 if you add both charges on to the £5000 price tag.

it is 17.625% for the auctioneer and 17.5% for the thieving *******s called the government... So, it is final bid + 35.125% on top. So, if end bid was £120 total cost is £162.15

The T&C's of the auction

15. A Buyer’s Premium of 15% (Plus VAT) will be charged on all lots.

Which is still dirt cheap on most things they are selling, arai chaser for that much is a bargain if you can get one for that much considering i bought my chaser from them for £370.
At the time they had plain ones for £270.

IMO its the batches or larger lots where i think you could make some money, whole racks of goodies, some of the things are worth a punt.

Like i said, im watching a lot of things so will see how they develop.

BTW, they are selling the bikes so you would have comeback to them, not like buying a bike off a dodgy bloke in a pub is it, they must be theirs to sell, doesnt seem like the company that wouldnt check first is it.

If I had the cash I'd buy up a couple of the job lots as you probs make 3 times what you buy it for

Notice of this is listed in MCN this week so a fair few will be aware. It looks like you have to collect in person anything you 'win' at auction, with no mention of delivery anywhere. So if you're a distance from Leicestershire the online bidding system's pretty pointless other than for high value items (ie bikes)?

I'd imagine it'll be VAT on the auction fee itself where it says, auction fee (plus VAT) so say the fee was £10 you'd pay £1.75 VAT on top as well.

Anyone seen what the stuff went for in the end?
I took a punt on a scorpian end can, bid at £50, ended up costing £67 with all the charges.

I was watching a 08 DRZsm, it went for about £3400 :smt103, bit over priced imo.
6 Givi boxes on a display went for £150 plus charges so that would make somebody some good profit.
A curvy went for £600 plus charges.

The red curvy is currently in my garage at home tucked between my Falco and RS250. I brought it as a xmas present for my old man. :santa:

Its in very good nick, has sensible extras incl heated grips a rack and a scottoiler. Some things were far too pricey (zx10, DRZ etc)

Nice one, it did look a bargain.
Some things looked really good price wise and some were more expensive than buying from a normal supplier.

be keeping my eye on some boots for myself for xmas, cheers for the link Bre.

Whos local and willing to collect and post them on for a few extra quid, they sort of loose their value if I have to drive all that way to pick them up.

I got a pair of SIDI B2 for just shy of £100 including fees, about half price. Bought a mate a pair of SMX-R's for the same price, he couldnt find them anywhere for less than £180.

Not too shabby considering we both needed boots.

Noticed a few items were very close to RRP, so with the fees they must have gone over?!
