My brother's girlfriend wanted to visit Gozo, Malta's sister island on her birthday. We said OK as long as we did this on our bikes...

Good pics :p
I went to Gozo in 2000, fantastic place, along with Malta obviously :)
The roads look a little better quality than when i was there, some EU funding helped?

I also liked swimming in the Blue lagoon (cant remember if thats the proper name)

Well there was some work done to the roads from EU funding yes... It's a small island but nice and quite. Great for a day or two. We didn't swim though as the sea was rough as you could see. People are still swimming here mind.

went to malta in summer and was a really nice place, the water was so clean and clear it was amazing, gozo was nice but we stupidly went for a swim near the azure window and came mighty close to drowning only manged to get out by climbing up some steep rocks, not the smartest thing we have ever done

The weather in Malta is much nicer now in actual fact than in summer. Our summer is too hot. I suggest you save on money and come here during Autumn or Spring. Hotel rates are cheaper and so are the flights and you can still swim in our waters as they're constantly warm enough. Talking about the Azzure window area; I've been there a few months back and was amazed at the number of fish that where in the area. The tourists were standing by the rocky shore and the fish letting the tourists touch them. a bizarre sight indeed. Never seen anything of the sort before.

Gozo's great - my parents used to own a flat in a block on the road to Xaghra from Marsalforn. Great views across the valley. So peaceful too. I remember going to a house in Xaghra that had some sort of 'grotto' underneath. You just used to walk in, pay your money and you'd be given a guided tour of the caves/cavern/grotto' underneath the house that had wierd stalactite & stalagmite formations - amazing.:D

They found the flat just after it had been built in the seventies whilst staying down the road at the Calypso hotel. Would love to go back one day - :(.
