the RTA thing especially, so there is only 1 fatal in a week. But how many little bumps have there been?.
I did say that there were more little bumps in my post, but they are just that, little bumps. That's the risk you are taking, having a little bump, or getting completely stuck somewhere and having to sleep in the car (but what percentage of people who've driven a car have had to do that this week?). It's not as dramatic a decision as Speedplays post though, ie: "Will I kill or seriously injure somebody by driving today?", you are more likely to do that on a day when there's no snow.
It's Friday. Day off today means a long weekend! :smt102
We all live in Lazytown!
Not all of us - just spent 2hrs standing at the bus stop waiting on the bus only to find out that it has taken another route and pick the rest of my work mates up but not me. saw three go down but not one come back
I'd rather be at work than take yet another day annual.

Don't agree. I drove home in -10'c in thick fog on badly ploughed roads. Had some nasty slides.
U aint going to win no medal. I don't get paid enough to justify wrecking my car....and they ain't gonna fix it.
its not a big deal for me. When I broke my wrist in 2009 and couldnt drive, I walked to work instead.
I meant to write "no big deal" but I have fat finger syndrome and mistyped it :p
What kind of fat fingers do you have that can reach the w when typing o ???
:p

WooHoo that's the view from my bedroom window - zoomed in by 25 miles :)
This made interesting reading yesterday
Is the UK uniquely bad at coping with snow? (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11897825)

You can see Harthill in Lanarkshire from Guildford? ;)
Yes, you can see the transmitters from a very long way away, especially at night and from another high bit of central scotland. Where are you at the moment then?

Candidate at our place for the laziest employee of the day award...
One of the sales lads, a) made sure he stayed at his g/f's place last night (farm, middle of nowhere) as there was, and I quote "more chance of getting snowed in", and b) phoned in sick this morning with 'flu like symptoms' when all the other guys from Moffat (where he lives) arrived into work.
Idle ****!

Laziest pupil of the day goes to one of my daughters school mates
All the classes started at 10:30 today, so the teachers could get in. No, extra snow last night and the main roads are ok, side roads not so good
So my daughter looks on farcebook this morning and her classmate isn't going to school because its too dangerous to walk the 3/4 mile to school!!!
My daughter thinks he classmate is crazy
We've hardley any snow, all the teachers turned up for school, so this girl has no excuse to stay away.
She'll be a candidate for the laziest employee of the day in the future

Growing up in Bearsden for 20 yrs with East facing bedroom :)
Wouldn't say I was a lightweight but you can shove a 10mile walk on Ice. It'd be a 10 mile walk back on Ice in the dark. Errr no.
Had an excellent drive back from East Anglia on Wednesday. No traffic. Shweet.

Sooo . . .
She'll have kick-started the sprog production line & can look forward to a life of leisure sponging off the state ( US! )
Sponging no, getting paid for registering so the government can use you as a trading statistic!

Some of my work mates think I'm mental for driving a rear wheel drive car on snow/ice, whatever, I let some air out of the tyres and lowered my speeds according to the road conditions (shovel in the boot too) If my own street was not a sheet of ice I would probably be on the bike... (the 125)
I have been enjoying throwing the car sideways in works carpark and driving round the clueless drivers out on the roads :)

100 kgs of sand in the boot will do the job as well :)
Used to put bags of sand in my old mk2 escort in snowy times.

It's all just a game in the words of Bill Hicks.
I better shut up now as people that don't know me will think I'm as weird as those that do!

I'm not sure it's blahsay enough for here, as most people are affraid of showing themselves up, but as I'm a worm (nothing) I get away with most things.
I'm a cheeky little worm knawing at the seems of topical debate.
