View Full Version : What bike trips you got planned for next year?
Was just sat thinking of the trips I wanted to go on starting next spring, as you tend to do this time of year :-({|= so any good ones in mind? Btw if they sound good i'll be pinching your idea :smt045
What i've got planned so far
April - If Eds ARTNW is a goer i'll be camping for that and then heading down to see Stonehenge, Cheddar Gorge, stop off in Bath and then ride back up through Wales.
May - 5 days touring Scotland, taking in Glencoe, Isle of Skye and the finest wibbly roads our isles have to offer
Junes looking a bit bare so think I might get up to Northumberland to explore your roads for the 1st time,camp and go see Alnwick Castle
July - if possible/practical work wise a 10-14 day blitz round spain/south of france and germany
July/August - AR11 :smt026

Not got anything for definite planned yet, but wanting a trip to Wales and Scotland during either Easter or the summer break. Also if Nick_69s plan to go to SPA works out then possibly heading that way too :D

Ah crap :o knew i'd forgotten something! I'll give that 1 a miss, see about doing Almeria or something next November when were likely to be buried in snow AGAIN

hang on guys this year isn't finished yet, Portsmouth tomorrow, Soho friday, the NEC on Saturday, Overnight in Bath next week and that's all before I do the round robin of crimbo drop offs.

im going to be doing a couple of charity rides in suport for our boys overseas which i can put dates up if people are intrested, possible run to scotland, one down to the deep south, ireland maybe, an maybe france.

Bremerhaven in Germany for road racing, Ulster Grand Prix and Le Mans 24hr and a few BSB rounds.....

I'll be keeping the pasty-face next year.
Ireland for 2 weeks in August is going to be my main one.
Up round the north coast (love the Larne road,) Donegal and down the west coast and all its nooks and crannies, few days in and around Cork then back up for the Ulster GP. Been watching this years on the telly Busasean? Looks faaaaast! Deer's Leep!:cool:
France/Spain again in September...don't think I'll ever get bored going back there. Fantastic roads.

I'll be keeping the pasty-face next year.

Yep - watched it the other day, not going to the NW200 for the forseeable future due to **** organisation... Done the skerries plus I have free accomodation in Bushmills... if you do go do you want to meet up for a beer/coffee?

I was going Ireland with Speedy Claire and Scotland with Robh539 but I have now decided my bike is being sold and I am having a break so someone will have to entertain my buddies as they are billies LOL
I am gonna spend the money on a bathroom and 2 summer hols instead.

Non that end up down the road :-(. If and when I get the bike back a few short runs to get me back up and running. Then it all depends on how I feel. I still want to go upto the ponderosa on an overnight jaunt. Lands end John o groats is also tempting me. Other than that - ride to the wall, ryans ryde, em's day. May be some other buell rides.

Nah if I have my 2 summer hols then I gonna have to sell Zuky and a nice shiney bathroom, old one ripped out totally and a reshuffle around will cost me wat I would have paid for a Gixer me thinks.
Also the house next to me is up for sale and I am tempted to start investing so I have a next egg when I am old, this will be ideal as its gonna go cheap :)

Well cash depending it'll be most the rounds of the Melville, NEMRC and KDMC as pit biatch, depending who I'm helping.
NW200 if the money goes and a WSB or MotoGP round in spain :D

As soon as it's warmer, possibly March or April, I'd like to go back to France and take the coast road west out of Calais, and do a short camping trip at two sites I know, one in Bleriot-Plage, Calais, right on the beach behind the dunes and one called Lete Indien which is near Wimereux.
Then go to Boulogne and re visit Nausicaa (Europe's largest aquarium), and possibly catch the ferry back to England from there.

I'm doing D-Day rideout for Aspire chairty to Le Touquet. Probably head over to the GP at Silverstone, plus hopefully a long weekend either in Yorks or Wales.
Oh and seriously considering a first track day given that Brands Hatch is 10 mins away
Hopefully up to Scotland April and France with an other forum. Other than that I want to track at Brands (full Circuit) Silverstone GP again as it was awsome, Snetterton new circuit lay out, and now Donnington has re opened that..
Nothing else planned or of interest yet.
France/Spain again in September...don't think I'll ever get bored going back there. Fantastic roads.
Fingers crossed i will see you there this year :)

So far we've got -
trip to the Isle of Skye
long weekend for NW200
BSB Knockhill & Croft
a week in Normandy at the end of June
Only problem is that the France trip is the only one my lovely wife knows about. Maybe a decent Christmas present will help .......

France again, it was so good last year, maybe a slightly different location this time.

Well, for the 1st time ever I actually have a plan for next year.
July - Isle of Man to watch the Southern 100
August, September - My 1st Jaunt abroad on the bike. I'm thinking of starting in Holland & then see where I end up.
Hoping to do a couple of weeks going to France, across Spain and into Portugal about end of May or into July. No particular plans where yet but know we will be camping all the way.
Probably a week in Scotland to later in the year, camping again.

Signed up to trip on the continent with Specialone
Going to do my upmost to be at the AR11.
Also going to do a coastal trip from York to Beadnell in Northumberland using no A roads at all and purely back roads. Sat Nav says 8 hours of cliff top roads. My Mum and Dad live in Northumberland so I looking forward to this!

Maybe venture up north, and down south on me summer break
Just need company now lol
Spain and Portugal next, with a possible trip to Gibraltar. If I get that far I may even hop on the ferry to Morocco so I can add another sticker to my panniers.
i'm not making plans yet but, i will be using my bike more next year.
