+1, I'd forgotten I'd fitted them in my GSXR calipers.

Don't forget they maybe Koyoto seals in a Suzuki box, which will add a significant premium to the price :p
I've got a set to fit to my forks just worried they may be cheapo Chinese rubbish that will last a few hundred miles and start leaking again... Got them from Wemoto they reckon they are Japanese quality on there web page !!!...

got them for the GSXR forks but not fitted them yet but they do look good quality. only thing i dont like is the dust seals as they have the spring on the outside but i supose its no biggie.

Do you mean Koyo, rather than Kyoto?
Not seen any Kyoto bearings, but seen their seals a number of times, they seem to me as good as any other pattern bit.

Yes, you said, and I answered.
The above is in response to the person who responded about bearings of the same maker - I asked if they had meant Koyo bearings.

Good morning all.
Kyoto, in keeping with Vesrah seals seem ok as far as pattern seals go.
One thing I've noticed with pattern seals is that often, they're unnecessarily tighter in the fork sliders than the original ones. This increases the likelyhood of distortion when fitting them.
I prefer to use genuine seals at all times. It's unfortunate that Suzuki seems to prefer to 'Punch one up the nuts' when it comes to fork seal pricing. When compared to Yamaha, Honda, & Kawasaki etc.
A lot of O/E seals are made by NOK. I have in the past tried to obtain these elsewhere, but to no avail.
Cheers.

Thanks for the info Spannerman... Yes Suzuki take the p**s with all there spares prices.... Have you infact ever used the Kyoto seals..? as you can imagine I don't want to repeat the process again after few hundred miles or so.. also can't be doing with coughing up around £36 just for the oil seals plus the same again for the dust seals just to have them in a Suzuki box...:smt092

I have fitted a few sets of Kyoto seals. Usually when the customer supplies them. As said, they seem on par with other quality pattern makes such as Vesrah.
I do however find that genuine seals last considerably longer. Obviously a lot depends on who fits them, & how good the chrome is on the stanchions. I always give the stanchions a good rub down with 1200 wet & dry & silicone lubricant whilst they're off. This helps to remove any high spots/rust/ & general crud.
You should spend at least 10 minutes rubbing each fork down, & rub round the stanchion, & not up & down it.
I cheat! I have a Lathe so it's 2 minutes for me & not 10 :D
Cheers.
