Honing the cylinder walls for the new rings, I did mine myself with a drill adaptor. Im not sure what youre doing though, if you having them rebored they will do it for you.

ahh im fitting busa pistons so need the cylinder - piston clearance doing as the busa pistons are slightly larger the hone is about (lol) 0.014" :)
Edit to many decimals on the hone size

well the pistons are a crimbo pressie from the parents, thats all 4 inc pins so will sell 2 of them to get some cash back then getting piston rings from the states 2x sets for £45 inc P&P ;)

What kind of bhp increase do you hope to get with busa pistons?

no idea, they are lighter than the stock ones, they are the same size so dont over bore it, in theory engine should rev easier so mainly aiding acceleration
will find out when i get it on a dyno

Would be interested to know the results...

well what im planning to do is get it dyno'd then get it tuned at a later date just to see how much more bhp i get from a tune (even if its 1bhp through the range, it still an improvement not that it runs ruff untuned )

Tad lower torque id imagine because they are lighter?

yup but the lower weight means the engine dosn't have to work as hard to change the direction of the pistons, so in theory the torque would be not be lower but shift it further up the rev range, i think thats what my tutor said
and wont really know what it does becasue im doing some other bits at the same time, cleaning up the ports and 3 angle the valves

You might as well get the full gasket set as 1 x head gasket is about £35 but the full set is £110 (or £70 if you can get them at cost)
