Hi,

I was wondering if someone can suggest best location to install 12V Cigarette lighter / power outlet on fully faired SV650S; I know this is really a personal choice but I was looking to identify least heated area and easily accessible place on the bike.

Thanks.

Mine is mainly for heated gloves so I stuck it just behind and to the right of the saddle, on the right hand rear panel. There's more hidden locations of course but access was more important. Nice and easy to plumb into the battery from there of course.

I've got a waterproof one secured under the front fairings just under where the indicator pokes through. Out of the way, secure, not exposed to weather, easy to remove (no fairing damage) and handy for lighting up in traffic. (seen some under the rear seat! unless you carry two sets of keys you'd have to stop the engine to get to it, maybe even get off the bike - madness!)

Mine is just under the pillion, although I used it more for charging my phone on the go and for blowing up air mattresses so there was fine ;)
