Knowing several people of this origin I said straight away before any other 'Breaking News' I thought this would be the case.
Now more and more evidence is stacking up against the scumbag.
No doubt the UK won't extradite him, its a fecking joke.
No real opinion on it as I don't know enough about it, but what a beautiful woman.
She was certainly beautiful, resembles Shilpa Shetty that bollywood lady.

Who knows? It seems to be that many nasty crimes are next of kin. Remember that special constable killed by her husband (not youths in the street as was believed for ages), that little girl who 'wasn't' kidnapped and kept in a bed. Apparently murder by stranger is by far the rarest type.
Coincidence? It does smell a bit.
I friend of mine got murdered by this wife and step father. She dialed 999 and said she found him trussed us and dead. They went down for it. He was Mauritian and she was Asian but not sure where from. One TV channel made one of those TV real life documentaries from it. It was a long time ago and he was a nice guy too! The fact they have cctv of him meeting the taxi driver in the hotel before and after the killing says it all really...
*if they do*

Evidence 1 - Taxi drive says he was paid by the husband.
Evidence 2 - Taxi driver meets with husband in hotel, caught on CCTV before the murder
Evidence 3 - Taxi driver meets with husband again in the hotel after the murder, caught again on CCTV... only this time the husband hands over an envelope
Give me a jury that wouldn't find guilty against that evidence.

It would certainly seem that way. I guess time will tell.
Just heard on radio one he's just been released on bail...

He's a millionaire, £250k is nothing to him and you can gaurantee he's probably already on a private jet back to india. Another 'UK' criminal gets away
Send him back to face trial... end of.

What's wrong with these people? Can't they just get a divorce like all the others?
Honour, pride, religious beliefs and teachings.
Some of the stuff my friends tell me is nuts, one even disowned his family and now lives in HongKong because he didn't want an arranged marriage and feared for his life.

Silly stuff distracts people from enjoying themselves I guess.. Wish they'd be inclined to question the way they live when the rules they follow brings them to the point where they'd commit such things.. instead of sipping a cocktail and lay back
Somehow I just can't get my brain to wrap around the notion of how you can reach the point where you'd want to kill someone for such petty things. I understand how they can get there but I'm unable to have any sort of handle on it..
They were on their honeymoon why get married in the first place?

Yup, just another person for interpol to add to their list of suspects (if he did it)
Having read a bit more - I don't think he should have been released on bail.
But if he's a millionaire, why is he working in a care home?
Doesn't stack up.
She really is so pretty. Tragic.

I was under the impression he 'owned' a few of them... if that counts as working in one?

+1 I can understand wanting to murder your wife - but usually it takes longer than 2 weeks
Ed - I read he owned it rather than worked in it

They had a blazing row on the plane trip supposedly... probably enough disrespect to end up dead :puker:
Ah - yes he does own it. Apols. See, you wouldn't want me on a jury:rolleyes:

This story stood out to me when the murder happened, as I was on honeymoon in Cape Town myself in late September. When I looked into the case a little, whatever happened and why, it does appear to have been a very odd part of Cape Town for two honeymooners to be at that time of night.

too true... most people wouldnt venture there during the day with a police escort.. its unfortunate really, but thats the realistic side of certain areas in SA..
friends in SA have said from day one that he was involved... how does he get out a car thats been hijacked alive after his wife is killed?? yeah right... stupid idiot - he should be hung strung and quartered..
Guilty - He's employed that low end piece of filth Max Clifford to do his PR, so that's him marked right down as scum in my book.

Reports orginially said he was forced from the car before his wife was killed, the body of his wife and the taxi were found later on.
Felt sick for him when I first read it, now I feel numb not quite sure if he's guilty or not although the CCTV stuff is pretty damning if its true.
Possible money troubles, insurance job or honour killing is my bet.
