Comedy is probably the one place left relatavely untouched by political correctness (at least Frankies type of comedy).

It's funny because you know you shouldn't laugh at it. And Katie Price has thrust herself and her family into the limelight because of her desperation for fame, and you can't just take the bits you want and complain about the bits you don't.

It's not acceptable is normal conversation / society, but there are exceptions to every rule.

Just Price feeling she's not been in the media's eye for a few weeks so using her son as an excuse. Yes comments about the disabled are out of order but then 99.9% of Frankie's stuff is and that's exactly why folks like him. He speaks his mind, doesn't give a toss and to be honest, he's said things a hell of a lot worse. Not condoning jokes on sensitive subjects but comedy's comedy. People should take Frankie with a pinch of salt. It's Bernard Manning all over again.

These programs always come with warnings so if you dont like that sort of thing switch it off.I start from the position that censorship is bad,so unless there is an overiding reason for banning something,like people getting killed.leave it alone.

Hmmm, I normally love Frankie Boyle and his no nonsense sense of humour but Tramadol Nights is not in the slightest bit funny. It's like he has put the comedy on the back burner and is just trying to push the boundaries to see what sore of fuss he can kick up. Not impressed with it at all.

That being said, Jordan is just interested in the headlines.

I find comedy a bit of a dark art. You are never going to be able to foretell what any audience will find funny, it is said that comedy is the one place that certain boundaries can still be pushed.

Saying that though, I find that I prefer comedy to have class, a certain quirk or cleverness to it. Normally comics are amazing witty people who have terrific insight into people.

I would say that this particular joke had none of the above qualities, instead it was a childish and outdated joke that fell flat. It should have been cut from his act. I dont see the comic appeal in picking on people in this manner, I would even go so far as to say it is cheap and lazy of an entertainer to try and pad out his act with highly controversial jokes just to keep ratings.

Before anyone asks, I made a point of watching the clip and thinking about it before posting.
I'm at a loss to see how Ms Price makes the world a better place, but I do think the material was offensive in the way it suggested her young son is intent on violent incest. That's clearly not directed at her - if he'd called her a pointless trollop, fine with me.
Like Anna, I think this is school playground stuff - picking in the vulnerable to try and make yourself look clever. From a professional and supposedly intelligent comic, it's lame. I never thought him much good on MtW (shouting things doesn't make them funnier).

I've been to see FB live - and I have to admit there were more stunned silences from the audience than laughter. He seems to be just out to step over every single line.

I like edgy comics, people who say what they think and make it funny is totally fine with me. It doesnt matter who you are, something FB has said could be offensive to you, he's that type of guy.

Also - I have less time for KP than I do for FB. She's just out for the headlines and is trying to make herself look good by "defending" the disabled community. I dislike her immensely.

I went to his tour show recently and he used this joke. Ok it's maybe over the line but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the worst thing he came out with. As said before it is funny because of the shock factor and you know you're not meant to laugh.

You don't watch Boyle for standard jokes, you watch for those 'I can't believe he said that' moments. If you don't like that you don't have to watch.

I think he's pretty funny even when making normal jokes, and I'm all for offending absolutely everyone. Can't wait to see how much he takes the p*ss in response to all these accusations.

I havent read through the rntire thread, but i would like to point out that Tramadol Nights, the stand up bit, is the material from his most recent DVD. Nothing new. The sketches are self indulgent and dull.

I like Frankie and to reiterate what a few people said on the front page, its Katie seeking even more attention...as always. She put her, and her families life out there and she made that decision. When someone has a pop, then she dont like it. Im sure, if my memory serves me correctly, had a pop at other comedians for taking the p*ss out of her and/or family.

As with Boyles sense of humor, as said, over the top, recation grabbing, etc etc, of course, but he wouldnt sell out his tours with in hours if poeple didnt like him.

If you dont like, dont watch it simples.

I also think that this has the Jade Goody BB Factor about this. 1 person sees it, then everyone jumps on the bandwagon condemming it without actually seeing it.

Comedy is not victimless but we all laugh at what we find funny. Price is a headline money grabber and I personally do not like her. That said, her family didn't ask for it. It is the same for families of people who go out and commit serious crime.

I have 2 sons. Both grown up and just normal blokes. My partner has 2 kids. One autistic and one aspergers. I could tell you in depth about how much of a struggle things are at times. I could tell you in depth about the £70,000 we had to spend of our own money to get them into a school suitable for them (no legal aid here. That is reserved for MP's who commit fraud and other such scum who don't want to pay taxes). I could tell you about the additional costs we pay for things they need.

I won't do any of this because I chose my life but I do find some of these jokes pretty sad. None of us know how our lives will turn out nor what our kids, grandkids or other close family member will be. Lets just hope we are all lucky (sic) and don't have someone taking the Pi$$ out of someone we love and care for who can't defend themselves eh!

That Price/Jordan thing has thrust herself and her family into the public eye, she's making money from it....she only has herself to blame. Besides how's the lad to know unless someone tells him!
