Buy cheap rubber and you will be complaining about handling/grip. £125 sounds reasonable providing it is a premium tyre. You haven't stated the maker, which would help in evaluating if it is cheap or expensive.

There's always a cheap option for tyres. Depends on what you expect to get out of the tyre. Slogging up and down the motorway everyday all day, you'll not be too bothered that there's no grip in the corners. But if your bike is for fun as well as a commuting tool, you'll want something better handling and that comes at a higher price.

Pretty pointless starting a thread then.

You weren't interested in cheap brands of tyres, cheaper ways of buying tyres (2nd hand), and you posted in an international forum (your local secetion is a available) but were unlikely to go out of Birmingham to get them.
