A quick question, what are the roads like round the South/West of Reading like for biking?

Good for scratching?

Loads of cameras and/or police, better for B road blasting on a super moto? Ideal sports bike territory?

Cheers,

Tim

Some good roads, sportsbikes are always great.
I'm sure a supermoto would be fun too.
Haven't noticed a greater or lesser police presence than elsewhere.

So not as good as the Yorkshire Dales/Moors, but still enough roads/space/freedom to enjoy yourself?

Yeah, Some pretty boring stuff too, but there are some good uns. I imagine more traffic down here through. i seem to spend most of my time planning overtakes when I ride down here. Could be the time when I'm riding. If you venture just across the border into Zummmmmerset then there are some real crackers!

You could always head north of Reading and into Oxfordshire - quieter and pretty flat so you can see what's around you. If you like the scenic element you get in the Dales you will need to head north and east of Reading into the Chilterns - it's not as pretty as the Dales and the traffic can be a problem.
