Online Gaming Q.

Hi guys,

Just bought meself an XBox 360 for chrimble (yeah yeah, I know...welcome to 4 years ago) with Halo Reach and Medal of Honour Tier 1.

I already have a PS3 with COD MW2 and a few others.

But, the Q is, which is better for online gaming?
I've always heard that XBox Live is better, but I've just got the thing and am gonna get pwned if I don't spend a good long time getting used to the games, whereas with MW2, I'm pretty confident that 10 year olds won't be whupping me...prob wrong on that one tho.

What to do....

btw, any recommendations for games on each are now welcome. Driving games better come with a recommendation for a cheap wheel too, as I got NFS Drift on the PS3 ages ago and hate driving with the joypad so haven't bought another driving sim since.

I have both and had both since release dates,
IMO the Xbox live experience is better.

1.) xbox has Better Connectivity there both running on LAN(Wired) with a 50Mb Line xbox seems more stable/reliable.
2.) Interface
3.) Voice comm's is much clearer on the xbox
4.) DL Content / Arcade. you have a much wider and better choice on the xbox.
5.) They way the Friends system works and Gamer score / Achievement system is better.

They are both good consoles and at the end of the day it comes down to what you thinks best not me :) , with the PSN being free you might as well sign up for a 1month free trial on the xbox live too and see which you prefer.

Hindle8907 is right.

What you have to remember is that even though they are both games consoles, Sony always planned to PS3 to be an entertainment center. Although the xbox does a lot of what the ps3 does the xbox is primarily for gaming.

Also being that the on line gaming world was born in the PC gaming world, and is still such a large market place Microsoft have got a upper hand in that market place with their pedigree in the PC market.

But it is down to personal preference, I have a PS3 not a xbox, because of the entertainment side of things. and i am more than happy with the gaming abilities, and the on line play.Plus it has the added bonus of being free to get on line!!!
