As the year comes to an end i thought i would post some of my favorite pics of the year seeing as i am bored and at home with a nasty cold.

Glad you like em Filipe as you have high standards :)

All with the D90 as you have probably guessed except for the sea pic and the 3 sea gull pics. For those I used a Canon G12 compact. The 3 different bird pics are almost 100% crops.... Not bad for a compact!

All with the D90 as you have probably guessed except for the sea pic and the 3 sea gull pics. For those I used a Canon G12 compact. The 3 different bird pics are almost 100% crops.... Not bad for a compact!

Pretty amazing for a compact if you ask me, and excellent skills in taking them with one! :D I was finding the higher noise levels funny for a D90, but didn't bother to check the pics for EXIF info to check them... now the mistery is solved. It's just a shame the little buggers are so expensive, as I'd get one (or the Nikon P7000) in a heartbeat. :(

In some of the D90 pics i forgot to lower ISO after being inside but of course the D90 is a lot more forgiven and noise not so much an issue in the iso 800 + 1600 shots.

G12 has noise of course right through the range and i need to work on getting the balance between sharpness and noise reduction while shooting in RAW.... still learning with the camera.

Hope you are able to get hold of one or the other in the not to distant future as they are a good compromise in terms of image quality/size when you dont need the mass of the dslr gear.

Richie i have decided to get that one printed and framed for the couple as a Christmas pressie. They are US students out here for a year so should make a nice momento of their time in Europe.
