Carol got a cold too, poor lass.
I had a bacon Sarnie and really nice shower with the wife. Lay in bed this morning watching Top Gear, this has been a lovely Saturday so far.
Yesterday was not so great, our Fridge/Freezer broke down. Not able to repair it ourselves or call some one to repair it, we had to take a trip to Curry's last night. The only way to describe the experience would be unpleasant and then when we unwrapped the new boxed fridge, it was the wrong colour!

New leather jacket, couple o bottles of spirits and a fair amount of chocolate. Just noticed that the jacket has 'not considered to be PPE under the directive'
Does this mean it's just no good for track etc? It's seems sturdier than my current jacket an has CE armour...

From my foxy lady I got a Mini DVR III (http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/minidvr3-bullet-camera.html) Bike kit.
A new pair of Nike trainers (will be testing these tomorrow :))
A new Sonneti jumper (very smart :))
A few pairs of trunk boxers. (very comfy)
From the Aupair a metal bike clock. It's a VTR firestorm and the clock is in the rear wheel. Very cool and will be going on my desk at work.
From the kids I got
A box of liquorice allsorts. (amazed the box is still not opened, let alone empty, must have been the fantastic Christmas dinner which has curbed my appetite).
A hand made candle holder.
A Lynx deodorant set. (Come on ladies).
Really wanted a Triumph Sprint ST 1050 in black, but instead really happy with perfume, nightie, and sixty quid tattoo voucher!:smt041
A set of car mats. No really...a set of ***ing car mats. I mean, how the hell am I supposed to fit them on the bike?
And whilst I'm at it, here's another drip. I bought her an iPod Nano 5th gen thingy and a Roberts DAB dream radio/alarm clock with docking port for an ipod - guess what she said..."Never heard of Roberts - are they any good? Will it be loud enough?" Not a hint of "Oh, thankyou, etc etc ". Woman down the road who came for Xmas dinner with her two kids (I cooked incidentally cos I enjoy cooking etc and it's good to do at Crimbo) brought her a present - a sellotape dispenser from the pound shop - the missus is practically doing flik flaks down the road she is so completely ****-a-hoop and vocal with her 'gift' from this 'friend'.
Think I'll be checking how comfortable her shoes are from now on. Angry? Think I might change my name to TimWilky.
Get me out of here.

Don't fret about it, virtually all bike kit is not CE approved as PPE. It's still ok for trackdays as long as it zips fully to leather trousers.
CE approved PPE bike kit is quite pricey and only a handful of the more exclusive manufacturers make it. No Alpinestars or Dainese leathers are PPE, so it always made me wonder what your money was being spent on as it's simply bike style fashion clothing.

A few bottles of wine and Scotch were given, but they found their way onto the table and behind the bar. They won't last long with the crowd around the place at the moment.
Christmas has coincided with the arrival of all of the gear required for one of the girls to take over my job next year, so maybe I have bought some time off and a bit of a rest.
Christmas lunch was pretty good.
