GWS dude. I have had man flu for weeks.

Started with ear ache, sore throat, off balance, turned into snot ridden head, shakes, hot and cold, bad stomach and headache.

4 weeks on I still have bad head and snot ridden head, speaking like a man due to cold so it must be man flu !

Hugs to you hun

Wee soul. Hope the dog is seizure free on meds. Sometimes it can take a bit of tweaking with the meds to get the balance right.
Sorry to be boring, but if you're still finding it painful passing urine I'd get a pee sample down to your doctors pdq x GWS

I've been Ill since the 23rd and have spent the last 5 days in bed thinking "how could this possibly be any worse?" I've never had a dose of the flu like it!
I'm still ****ty now but atleest I can walk about.

I've got it as well. It started a week ago and I've spent the last few days in bed with fever (up to 39.9 degC / 103.8 degF) pounding headache, unable to eat or do anything much except cough. Got up just now to go to shop for essential supplies (painkillers and fruit juice) and was really wobbly.

It could well be :pig: flu, as normal flu doesn't tend to last this long.

Emmm I was going to wish you to GWS, but seen as you took the sheep riding into this, then I hope you suffer until Aberdeen win their next game!!

Hope you all feel better soon!

I had a nasty cold I managed to kick before Xmas. Then the wife who is never sick got her first flu in 15 years and of course she wrapped it up and put it under the tree for me. Never known flu like this but we are almost over it now though and have a huge task of getting the house germ free ..... lots of peeps to invite over seeing we missed Xmas.

5 days?!

I started my first course of antibiotics on the 2nd Dec, and finished the 3rd lot on Xmas Day. Thankfully the cough has almost gone... now all I need is some energy.

And I had the flu jab in Nov, for all the good that was.

i was considering getting the flu jab but correct me if i'm wrong does it not depend on the strain of the particular flu you end up catching whether it works or not?

This year's jab is supposed to cover 3 different strains. Either my jab didn't take, or I've had something else.

Blimey that sucks , still recon it will take me a couple of weeks to get back to 100% , just weighed myself and have last just short of a stone in weight , I can afford to loose the weight infact had done me a favour but it scares the hell out of me if my dad who is in 70's in bad health and frail weighing less than 9 stones caught the flu

Hope you are back to full health soon

Cheers Steve
