ok folks ive bagged myself an abba stand and fancy having a bash at changing the fork oil in the near future (que yc rubbing his hands in glee and blowing the dust off his tapping kits ;) ). Anyhow can i use the standard cups to lift it? they fit over the nuts on the bike swingarm pivot. Or do i need the triumph fitting kit? if i need the kit is there someone on here that could give me the measurements of it? or am i better off just making 2 cone shaped plugs so fit in the pivot holes?

Can't you just buy the right kit off abba?

Believe my you need to make sure you have the right ones holding the bike. I accidently used the ones from my Aprilia RSV on the RGV, and it fell off causing a huge gouge mark on the frame. The bike also landed on the exhaust and knackered that too.

It will cost you a tad more than that if you drop it of the stand.
Post something in the wanted section - and keep and eye on ebay.

Definately not on my say so.:D
I was lucky enough to get an Abba stand for crimbo with the swingarm and foot hanger kits. The swingarm ones just seem to be cups which go into the holes in the pivot bolt. The foot hanger ones have a hole with a hex bolt through it so if you can find some metal with the same diameter you should be able to drill these out and fit these with a bolt through. They are not the same size as the pivot ones. I would not try and fit the cups over the bolts to lift the bike. This only lifts the back of the bike
I can't find it at the moment but I have seen a diagram of some wood and 2 brackets that fits to the bike through the holes near the front of the engine to lift the front of the bike up.

Ill see what i can do.
Will yor adaptors be the same as mine? Just thinking if there too ling they could put strain on the cups. Any thought as to what the min dia would be for a spindle?

I think the NWS have about a 4mm radius on end.
They should be same on the cup end, I don't think abba have used more than 1 size.
Dunno about length, compare to an NWS stand I reckon

Try about 35mm and see what happens, should be pretty strong anyway
