i am just wondering if a dunlop rear size 150/60/17 will fit an sv650s and if it will affect the riding at all? i currently have some crap metzelers 160/60/17 that the previous owner flattened off.
any help is appreciated.

its 160/60 that only fits.

The tires on there I'm guessing are Mez4's?

i had a spare wheel with a 150 tyre on it, for the rim size it's as narrow as you can go.

the gsx600 teapot has the same 4.5" wide rear wheel and the 150 tyre was standard fitment.

Its actually a better fit than the std 160/60 which is pinched on the SV rim.

Does anyone have any expeience with dunlop sportmax 2 d204's? Any reviews on them? Thanks for the answers so they should fit perfect. Just wondering about performance.

Its have to be no more than a tenner to be even slightly interesting. Wrong size, obsolete model? No ta.

That was supposed to be his "approach" when haggling a bargain.

"Its an obsolete tyre and its the wrong size, so I'm not going to give you more than a tenner for it"

Then he fits it, having got a bargain, and finds its fine! :)

I've never used 204's they look like the same tread pattern as the old Michelin Pilot Race.

Turns out they're the best bargain of all... Free :)

What do you mean? Are they generally a good tyre? A good friend had no use for them when i need a new set of tyres badly.

Generally yes, fine for every day pootling but I wouldn't be using them on a track day any time soon! :)

Got them fitted and they are fantastic. Very grippy even in moist conditions. Much better than previous metzelers. Managed to get to the edge already, cant wait to see what they are like in perfect conditions. Thanks for advice.
