Is this going to be some camera trickery , in the advert we see Chris Evans fire up a MX bike and go off an impressive launch ramp , perform a whip and then land badly , the landing is obscured so this has to be a load of Bull ?

I am saying this now before the show starts with the tiniest hope that these people have actually become heroes overnight to do these stunts but I highly doubt they have had the years of training and dedication required ....... should be good viewing though in the land of "What if ?"

I`m already hating the format , one second they say they have had training for a year or whatever and now it looks like "Gladiators" , I hope this is just Cackola for 10 minutes before we get to the meat of it all ......... I am doubting it though

Well Jonah is running on 24 inch rims so my betting is he will take the hits on the track much better rather than the 20`s that the BMX runs on .

They should have been ragging them down the ramps and clearing the triples and doubles in one go , foot out on corners and rag them down the straights

Should have done it on dirt bikes with stuck open throttles.....then it really would have been famous and fearless

I could take them boys out for 4 hours on one of my local MTB courses and they would have performed better than that

02-01-11, 08:45 PM
DOH!!!!

What a schoolboy error , you do NOT need a seat on a bmx track , you only need one on a dirt based track to lean on and they are on a man made mtrack so why didn`t he have that dropped down to the bottom ? ............. instead of banging his butt on it and dumping it .

Even when he fell off it didnt look that painful as to be branded a "fearless" challenge

Night all.

Well he said he caught his trousers on the Chainwheel , but that was bunk , he tapped his butt on the seat which brought the front end up as he was right over the back and he washed out ...... done it myself on a BMX when I was a nipper , many a time

I watched about 3 minutes of it and turned over, it was utter crap.

Have to agree that the stadium parts were crap . The bits where they trained were ok but the best bit is that they had a slot later in the show where another "Star" did something far more heinous and fearsome than that lot did . They had Sean Maguire do some wingwalking which was absolutely awesome .... I was peein myself laughing as he was nervous , then strapped in he went to "I don`t wanna do this" , then they took off and he went into "Oh gOD oH GOd OH GOD" mode and then he finally just went into that state where he stared straight ahead and just rode out all the spins and loops and dives .

Some comedian is doing Britains biggest backwards Bungee Jump on tonights show , so I think I will Sky+ the rest of this week and just fast forward to the bits that are of interest like the training and the Guest tasks , the stadium crap can go and do one . They seem to have purposely hidden all of that from the trailers and mention of it as they probably knew that most of the British public would not bother with it .

This programme is the TV version of when you buy the biggest firework rocket in the store, get home, light it and see it sparkle and fizz for a few seconds and then die a quick and dissapointing death.

saw the clearly staged advert, so set the sky plus
happened to be watching TV when it was on anyway and caught the bit where richard bransons son and kelley holmes fliped a car...
wasnt impressed sky plus link has been removed.

Pretty much did the same, although I gave it a bit longer, fast forwarding between the ENDLESS talking carp...

Won't be watching any more of 'em.

As the camera cuts to him putting his glasses back on, its not him.

I've just put this on now, and the 'boys' are... inline skating round an oval. Seriously. What's fearless about this!? And what's Branson's kid, Sam, famous for? It's switched off now.
