Okay first of all sorry to those who are reading this while tucking into their lunch.

I'm just picking the remainder of the one inch round blister off my thumb from playing hours of Guitar hero/band hero on New Years Eve and wondered if anyone was more seriously or similarly injured.

To elaborate, as well as the obligatory ipod and party dips, the party we went to had a room with a projector/sound system where the karaoke style entertainment was provided by those able to play the tracks while those too drunk to play sang (although we had all had enough tbh).

So, spill the beans.

i.e. Drunken chase of taxi = sprained ankle.

Can I just ask, how the HELL did you get a blister like that from guitar hero?!! I've got guitar hero and have been known to play for hours and hours and never got a blister!

I was getting a piggy back and the guy fell forward, put his hands down and catapulted me off his back and I smashed my chin onto the pavement. I still have a big lump on my chin and a pain in my jaw and ear!

Eeeee that looks nasty MBK :smt056

Had 1 of those nights at NY where no matter how hard I tried I wasnt really blootered. This is a run down of yesterday which more than made up for it :smt103

went to the cinema with the gf
went to the nearby pub after. Laugh when she says "I bet I could drink as much as you" and goads me by calling me another name for a cat. Challenge accepted!
she gives up on beer after the 6th pint and goes onto cider
another couple of pints
Go for a chinese buffet
Go to lloyds bar and have a bottle of wine each
ring for a taxi at 10 as gf has head on table asleep
get home carry her upstairs to bed, then the bathroom
Sit on bathroom floor with sobbing gf
Hold her hair for her as she ralfs up the worst smelling sick youve ever smelled whilst trying not to throw up myself all down her back

Shes spent the day in bed wondering why she has a sore nose, elbow and little toe. I was fresh as a daisy and went out on the bike to get us a KFC which she barely touched. I think I win :king:

Not beer induced but I took my nephew who is 8 to the new kids activity centre near home. He persuaded me to go up the big climbing frame castle thing with him. Managed that ok, across rope bridge, over turrets etc but then couldn't get down the ladder as my previously broken elbow is too weak to hold my weight. Ended up having to go down a wooden slopey slide whatsit holding a rope - fell off at the end and landed ar$e first in a muddy puddle in front of all the parents who had sensibly stayed off the climbing frame and were sat in the viewing area. Not my finest moment.

Might I say you look ravishing in your picture there. Not the avatar, the 1 with the stripey pink socks :p

MBK scores more points for the redness and placement of her bruise but tis a good try though

Amazing what you don't notice when youre pished. Even harder to remember it the day after.

Take my Cait for instance, she noticed when I hit the top of the bannister rail with her face last night but can she she remember why her face hurts today, can she b*****ks :p

No injuries here, just an army of pixies hammering on the inside of my scull at 6am on New Year's Day. I think they crept in there sometime between the cider and the champagne.

Ouch!

Did they eventually let you down from the ankle cuffs attached to the celling?

I had the hood on so you didn't recognize me.
Sorry you should have said they were too tight!;)

At the bash one 'lady' did a MBK style face plant during a game of....
...well I don't know what it's called.
You get a cardboard box, put it on the floor & take turns picking it up without using your hands - i.e. legs apart, face first, teeth grabbing thingy.

She was soooo ashamed she went home.
We all cheered but she must have thought the blood oozing from her chin might put us off the mini sausage rolls?

Thankfully mines didn't bleed. Maybe if it had it wouldn't have bruised so much. A friend who is qualified in these kinda things suspects I may have chipped the bone or caused a slight fracture given that I am still getting pain in my jaw!

I am truly the most accident prone person most of my friends know!
