Looking to buy a bike soon so I can get it ready for the summer, especially keen on V-twins and loved a SV that I borrowed a couple of times last year.
Hoping to find something cheap so I'm expecting to end up with something with some battle scars - the main thing I am looking for is reliable fun  SV's sound like an ideal solution :D (but open to anything else if the price is right ;))
Just found this forum so will be reading up to see what I should be looking for if I can find one locally.
Have fun ( is now a good time to start counting down to summer  ?)
Welcome from Scotland :)
What's you're price raise?

Welcome. Have fun, but don't feed the natives. They can get a bit feisty!!
Have a gander at the For Sale section, theres usually a couple in there for a reasonable price.

Pennines = done :D Cheers for the tip ;)
Budget = buttons :smt103 Have seen some spares/repairs projects with minor damage to plastics around £800, hoping I can find something like that around the North East ;)
Welcome.

I'd keep an eye on places like Petite and France, and the smaller dealers for a P/X to clear.

If you've got the money and thats your intention (a spares/repairs project) then I'd be looking to buy now before the prices climb again as we head into dryer times. £800 could fetch you a curvey needing little work or a k3 even k4 pointy which needs a fair bit more, depends how your function over form ratio idles.
and welcome :)
