Looks like the recession has claimed another victim. Went to get some chain lube from Knotts yesterday and saw they were closed up.

Tried to get on thier website just now and it's offline.

Very surprising, they have been around since forever, you have to wait weeks to get any work done there as they are always busy and they seem to have a high turnover of used bikes.

Only ever heard good things about them as well. Some people I know are on the 4th or 5th bike from them.

If a big established dealers like Knotts cant cope it must be bad.:(

On the other hand I called into CMC in Chesterfield and they are moving to Clay Cross to Stratstones old site. They seem really happy to get the extra space. Every cloud and all that.....

thats the thing nowadays, loads of cheap and good condition used bikes, so why spend over the odds on a new one, when you can get one just as good, for £3000 less than new?

What about Honda? Hopefully the debts will be sorted and it can re-open.

apparently they were also letting them go as they wanted to become just triumph (this is info from some one that has just ordered a triumph from them and is still waiting for it)

Popped over there to check it out yesterday. They have been open since Monday and although they are still trading as Knotts are part of the Blade group.

They have ditched Suzuki and are not selling Triumphs in the main Building and Hondas in the shed next door. I spoke to a couple of the guys there and they (most of whom worked there before it closed) and they said the Honda section is going to be improved.

Got a new Tiger 800 demo there as well which I may see if I can have a play on :D
