Fellow Guildford locals, there are only 24 houses in my Road and four of us have Bikes, my SV, a Triumph Daytona, a BMW1300 and some dodgy Super trial sports tourer hybrid thing. So if ever anyone plans a run out somewhere and would like to add some numbers to the group, let me know. We may not be the fastest but we do the fun thing quite well.

mmm wise words. Hibernation seems to be in full swing down here. Cosy log fires and G&T's seem to be quite attractive at the moment. I spent 1.5 hours round our local twisty A roads yesterday and saw a grand total of 3 bikes. Never mind, I'm on standby waiting for the call up.

I do a couple of hundred miles every other thursday down that way and a few more on some weekends after a Ryka's breakfast, some nice play roads down there.

It's true some nice roads, I'm just feeling my way back into it, and all the tight twisty roads seem challenging to go smoothly on, am getting there though.
The A272 from near the M3 all the way along it to the end near the A24 towards Box Hill end is very, very nice. Went to Ryka's for the first time, the weekend before last, saw some pristine 50CC Yamaha FSIE's in the car park which I'm afraid to say made me feel a bit nostalgic - even though they were a little bit before my time.

Hmmmmm, a bit to predictable for me I prefer the back roads myself, 272 get's a fair amount of plod in the summer though. still you've a couple of months before the weekend warriors start throwing themselves at the scenery so should be fairly quiet for now.

I live just down the road from Guildford and managed to get over to Brands Hatch t'other week for a track day - snow and freezing cold conditions but loved it!

Look out for a yellow SV around the A30/Ligh****er area :)

Am riding out to Alexandra Palace on Sunday for a Custom bike show, and next weekend I'm away, any interest in doing something on 12th/ 13th March? Are the Guildford massive regulars wakening from hibernation yet?:sunny:

Well I'm game for the 25th, I had a day off and went out today and it was like the first day of spring, there must be some movement within the hibernation dens after a day like today.

I would be up for a weekend ride sometime around the 25th.

I'm generally always up for a ride, but over winter I've been using the bike to get about. I've not been hibernating but freezing my tits off and then washing salt off in the cold dark nights kind of kills the joy of riding, so my 'for fun' riding has been limited this winter.

But I think its time to remind myself why I bought the bike in the first place :D

I would be up for the 26th, especially if the weather is like today was

I planned to go out for a ride Sunday, however when I got to the bike there was a lovely flat rear tyre and a big nail sticking out of it - wasn't even a very old tyre, grr!

However, on the bright side it does mean the new tyre needs wearing in :)

Hate those nails. Hope to see you with a nice new tyre soon then, with chicken strips to remove. You fixed that fairing scuff yet?
