All that remains is to get your right eye glued shut so that you can't see approaching bikes when pulling out from a junction.

Congratulations,

Keith.

Congrats lad . I remained very relaxed on mine but vigilant at all times , a week later and a car still feels very Alien to me .... then again 22 years on a bike has probably biased me somewhat :)

i wont be buying one as the insurance is to high on any thing i can afford, belive it or not i will be insured on my mums RX8 :smt104 its almost £1000 less fully comp than any 1L-1.4L car and i will only use it when its wet to get to college

That dont supprise me, i am not all that much older than you, and although i did buy my first car, mu mum also insured it and i was a names driver. much cheaper, but one thing that i would say is that try and get your own insurance ASAP as the lack of no claims bonus really did me in!

Oh god. New driver, fast car, greasy roads and rear wheel drive!

Oh btw, well done :D + just take it easy. I personally think it's a lot easier to lose control of a car, I was nearly upside down with a car full of friends on the first night.

Well done mate!

I find it so hard to get on the bike when its cold or wet, when I know the car is sitting right there...saying that, the bike is a "toy", so I get to choose when I want to "play" ;)

Took me 4 days to write off my first car... I was going backwards at time.
Less than a week of owning my second car I had it on 2 wheels.

They're not as safe as you think Dan, take it easy and CONGRATS

Congrats..... I hope the first thing you did when you got home was ride your bike and realise that your car license entitles you to ridiculous insurance premiums and boring journeys.
