Hi,
Iv got an SV650 (N) K3 2004 model. running really bad right now. its mainly just before i accelerate the bike feels like something is holding it back, it judders a little then picks up. and it has started doing the same thing when im cruising at a regular speed. its not a smooth ride at all really.
took it to a place where they looked at the throttle bodies and a load of sensors but its not helped much.
wondered if anyone else has had a similar thing happen
thanks, Tim

Did they check the intake air pressure sensor on the airbox?. Fairly common fault on that year of bike. They dont always fault code and run really rich causing similar symptoms to yours.

yea they checked that apparently, took it back today they gonna plug it into a laptop, so will see what that brings up.

Has someone checked the spark plugs? I hope they are not jumping in with the laptop, before going over the basics? Plugs, air filter, etc. Not sure the laptop will pick up a clogged air filter. If they've all been checked then forgive me! Hopefully they'll find the fault.

yea checked spark plugs. all the sensors have been checked, it has got a K&N filter on it which may make a difference if its not set up right, iv ordered a pipercross filter to replace it because i hear the K&N ones affect the throttle response and the pipercross ones are slightly better.
confusing stuff really

K&N versus Pipercross no real difference and certainly wouldnt cause those symptoms unless its seriously blocked.!.
The sensor fault doesnt always show on the SDS so see if they can swop one off another bike just to try if they have one.
Also check the Throttle body balance and TPS settings.
