View Full Version : Piaggio FLY 100 wont start
My mate has a fly 100 and for some reason it will not fire up. Electric start ticks over but no actual fire up. Spark plugs have been checked and are fine. Any ideas? Thanks :)

Basic stuff to check. I've got no idea if the scoot is injection or carbed (i'm guessing carbs) so:
1) Do you actually have a spark (ground the plug on the engine and turn it over, but remember to block the plug hole with a rag...) look for a spark.
2) If you do have spark, then fuel would be the next suspect. Can you pull the fuel line off after the pump, and check it squirts fuel when cranked - obviously be careful where you squirt it!
3) If you have fuel getting to the carb then next suspect will be blocked jets in the carb. has he recently run it out of fuel or has it been standing a while? If so, the jets may have become blocked and will need a clean out.
Any help?
