Riding back and forth from Longbridge to Erdington all day today, and im not making any exaggerations (sp) here, and EVERY SINGLE time i saw a woman in a burkha in a car, they were on the phone. now not like its strapped to their head, fully out in the hand and on loudspeaker.
after the first few i started to count how many there were.

between 9am and 2pm i saw at least 15!!! thats alot of selfish BA***RDS who dont realise that they could easily kill someone or seriously injure someone without even realising.

now where are all the police who should be catching these people?? they are dealing with crappy paperwork that should be made obselite (sp)

Do what I do, pull alongside and just stick your thumb on the horn.

Its hard for them to talk with a Stebel going off next to them.

dont have a stebel....yet ;) but i do have a beowulf can.......it does vibrate their windows quite a bit.
the 5th one, right in the city centre, i just stopped and stared at her. looked like a rabbit in headlights, slowly put phone down into her lap and i slowly rumbled off.

I'm still amazed that you are allowed to drive a car in a full burkha.

I saw it loads of times while working in brum last year.

Legal for a burkha but not legal to drive a car on the road in a full faced helmet as "it obscures view"...

"but officer, i was practicing for a rally."

also, if you wear a turban for your religion, helmets on motorcycles are not a legal requirement. now, as to wether they get insurance is another matter.

We did it a few years ago in a fiesta RS on the way back from a downhill event with 2 bikes on the roof.

We thought it was funny as hell (as you would at 19 years old and in full motocross kit) but the copper didnt :(

but surely if it impares/obscures your vision, why can we wear them on motorcycles?? bloody laws

I didn't know that. Was on my way to the Karting track last Saturday and didn't want my helmet rolling around in the back of my car so I put it on my head.

Why no police doing anythig about it? Cos of Government cust.

West Mercia Police faces a £16m shortfall in its budget this year. I've written to the MP to complain. He replid today to say that he had passed my letter to the Home Secretary, so that hottie Teresa May is reading my epistle.

That is one of my hates!! People on phones, admittely I use the phone in the car but I have a Parrot Hansfree Kit and on the bike a Scala Rider.

But If I have the Bike Camera on, I usually drive along side do a phone signal and point to the camera, that usually scares the sh*t out them and then drop or throw the phone down, lol.

Then I drive off SMILING. :-)

ahahaha i might have to invest in a helmet cam.
and maybe a white cue-ball helmet too.

the looks of motorists would be farr too funny to not do this.

Way to go and make bikers popular....

I've got hands free in the car and being honest, Using it does still affect your driving.

If you want to be whiter than white, dont use it at all.

You could just pull the "Ive got a camera" move on someone one day who might just do something stupid about it.

Being really honest, I'd just tell you to shove your cam up your a*se as any "evidence" from it, isnt worth sh!te anyway. ;)
