I was looking at end of April/may time as I am away for a while. Castle Combe cost £125 for the day they are really strict on noise level, you can check that out on their website. It is the only track I have been too they are really friendly and helpful.

Have been to combe before, it is a good track, they may be strict on noise on the public but the marshals bikes they didnt care about. Had a marshal on an R1 with un baffled aprovic cans on track, yet my bike with the baffles in was at 102db.
I am doing silverstone (hopefully) towards the end of april so will see how it fits in around then.

this basically , i was still up for it but not many people would say for definite if they would go and my work picked up so i couldn't get any time off let alone a weekday so i forgot about it
if im given long enough notice i should be able to do a Wednesday, but you never know, i'd be taking the thunderace as i can just under 3 bolts for the zorst rather than pee about with the SV, plus i'd probably cry if i dropped the curvy

Fixed it for you;)

Yeah was a very good day. Sucks about your ride home though.
The trip there wasnt exactly incident free though either, within 2 miles of joining the M4 see an undercover car, lights on, flying towards the opposite direction. Kinda set the tone for the M4.

That should be easy enough :p
As much as I like putting the sv through its paces I wont be taking it so I'll take the thunderace
Is that because you now prefer the thunderace or you just dont want to risk throwing the SV down the track?
Wideboy
10-02-11, 05:24 PM
don't want to throw it into the gravel and have to cry
metalhead19
10-02-11, 05:25 PM
Thats fair enough, would feel the same if had spent the same kinda money/effort on the bike as you have
Wideboy
10-02-11, 05:29 PM

I would be up for this, would have to change the Thou's cans back to originals though :-(
I am sure I can drag Stu along to this too
Havent checked this part of the forum for a while (sorry) I would love to have a go at a track day, been looking into it myself - but knowing my luck it would end up in the gravel! :smt022
