View Full Version : !st ride this year
Just been out for my first ride this year, dry roads and sunshine, not even too cold. I wanted to try the Pazzo's for feel, (I love em) and see what difference the touring screen made to the sprint. It really does take the wind blast off and the faster you go the quieter it gets, so thumbs up for the £28 it cost me off ebay. :D

Mbk, on the trumpet sprint forum a few have bought some copies that are supposed to be holding up well for around £30, I'm thinking of trying some myself.
I agree they do look the nuts :)
The screen is the triumph touring screen, list price is around £115 from triumph I think, so £28 plus p+p was a bargain I think, it was a brand new screen as I think dealers are shifting unsold stock they have left on ebay. As to the Pazzo's I decided against the chinese copies having read comments re the finish not lasting, wrong ones sent, not fitting properly etc, they were expensive but are a quality product beautifully finished and in my mind worth every penny.

Probably right, from what I've heard the quality is very good, but as Daryl said, its the long term finish that would be the unknown, I suppose though if you had silver ones it wouldn't be a problem.
I'll probably get some proper ones as well :)

Very true, or are you a tight wad ?. If you are after a touring screen keep a lookout on ebay, one on there at the mo at £23 but still has 5 days to go, bear in mind that some people find them worse than the standard screen and prefer the double bubbles. At least if they come off ebay for not too much money you can put them back on and not lose too much (hopefully)

One of the guys off the trumpet forum had a good one, will have to dig out which one it was.
I want a slightly smoked one, but not too tall, on the mway I have to lie on the tank to get the benefit.

Not sure what colour I would get......
I have one real pazzo and one cheap fake :D
The cheap fake clutch lever wasn't quite right, so I just bought a proper one. There's almost NO difference at all other than slight colour difference in the adjuster. I wouldn't waste your money on the real ones if the fakes fit. No one has noticed mine are different to each other.
Wow, Daryl - did you get out of first gear:lol:
I'm pretty sure I did, unless a Sprint does three figures in 1st. :D
Daryl
I like the sound of three figures:) Would you like a second ride Weds or Thurs?

I took mine out for a 10 mile run on sunday (taxed on computer but the disc hadn't arrived by that point - naughty naughty) - loved it :) totally re-sparked the flame now as I thought I was going off biking a little bit :D

Been to work the last two days on it, tis nice, not even cold enough for my undergloves in the morning, wheee!
I rode up to Ellesmere to get my prescription cashed in.
Close encounters with an artic milk tanker wagon, three tractors (one Ford, two MF), a 53 seater coach on a tight corner on this narrow country lane where the farmer hadn't hosed the road after his cattle had gone into the milking shed, the road surface outside the ABP (slaughterhouse) plant that looks like a grenade practice zone from all the HGVs going over it, snobby cow in a VW Touareg complete with personal plate (and you know what that means;)), and finally a hedge trimmer.
And that was just on ethe way up there. Wonder why I bother.
