Switched my optimate off last night but forgot to disconnect it from the battery so it was left connnected but switched off at the mains overnight. I read on here (somewhere) that this killed someones battery, so...will it kill it? If so why?

I have switched it back on today in the hope the battery still has life in it as its not very old. Fingers, toes and other digits crossed!

Only switched it off because i was going to go for a bimble today, no biggie as weather is poo anyways.

Cheers

Shouldn't as you have broken the circuit and it has return blocker on my charger[Not an optimate]

You will know as soon as you turn the key to start up

Depends on which Optimate you have.
I understand the earlier ones have a very slight drain when switched off.
The Optimate website will confirm which versions of charger will do this.
