Pizza hut, but that's only by default.

The complete c**ts that opened the dominos by us, even though we already had 3 pizza shops with 1/2 mile, took on aggresive marketing by placarding etc directly outside the premises of their rivals, to top it off, they had a black guy dressed in a father Xmas costume :)

For these reasons, I'll never eat from there, besides the snappy pizzas we have are top notch.

Over here Domino's is about 1/2 the cost of Pizza Hut, and tastes it as well.
Pizza Hut sells pizza!
Dominos is a thin piece of dough with an even thinner layer of sauce that looks as if it may have been painted on with a brush. Combined with the sparce toppings of your choice. But it is the cheapest meal in town and not too bad but certainly not on the same level as Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut without fail gives me... 'the sheetz' and eating it is like eating rubber, I just can't swallow it.

Dominos is ok though.

i LOVE pizza hut, escpecially the garlic stuffed crust, and the fact we always get loads of vouchers in the post for like spend £25 and get a tenner off, we just add random stuff on the order to get it to just over 25 and we are happy.

Neither. Pizza Express at the very least but I prefer somewhere like Fire & Stone in Covent Garden. Though my favourite pizzas are from a small place in Pisa that's used more by the locals than the tourists. I'll take quality over cheap* crap any day.

* That's cheap to make, not what they sell them for.

That ad for 'Chicago Town' pizzas where they used to claim their big 'takeaway' pizza was better than Dominos or Pizza Hut? They're right, you know. You can pour some oil or lard on it if you miss your pizza dripping with it, but for what they cost (£3?) they're fantastic.

used to work at Pizza hut so I know what goes on... for that reason I'd never eat from there again - dominoes all the way for me.

Agree, we usually just buy supermarket pizza's, rest is a rip off tbh...

They even taste good if you leave the white plastic on the base on when you cook it... Woops :smt040

Only time we order pizza is Tuesdays for Pizza hut or Dominoes 2 for Tuesdays deals!

Yeah, something that would do well to come across to the UK is pizza by the slice. I've only ever seen it in Leicester Square Pizza Hut but when I was in high school we lived on pizza by the slice. Pizza Pizza (local Toronto place) used to deliver several extra larges to the cafeteria every day for them to sell, or if you wanted there were about four other places nearby selling two huge slices and doing a roaring trade.

Theres a place like that here in Glasgow, massive slice, great pizza, £1.50. Always seems quiet tho!

There are quite a few around here in Central London, but they are literally all so naff.

All the pizza by the slices I had in America tasted superb. I virtually lived on them. They cook 'em nice and proper and the slices taste great, are huge and greasy. Here, all pizza by slice places just shove it in the microwave for 60seconds, and it aint all that.

Mind you, our Dominoes is better than theirs - they don't garlic and herb dip:smt104

I haven't read a single post I'm afraid but WTF with the poll?!! Domino's pizzas are floppy, bready, lacklustre with toppings, more expensive than Pizza Hut and weirdly square.

They suck big fat hairy balls. In fact I'd rather suck big fat hairy balls than even consider a Domino's. (Ok maybe that's a bit extreme, but at least they'd taste of something.)

thulfi
17-02-11, 02:20 AM
17 people here have obviously not tried dominos.

also Dominos does 50% off for NHS staff - usually collection only. Great!

tip: 'they've never once asked to see my card when I get there' - you didn't read that here.

Yes true agree!

Even with 50% off they cost way too much! I last had a few slices last year of Dominoes that was becasue it lunch after helping a mate out I should have gone to cook would have been nicer!
