View Full Version : That Monday Feeling!
Hi all, sorry to start a Monday thread, how depressing...
How was everyone's weekend?
My weekend consisted of fitting a temporary bung in my rear wheel and getting it down to the garage for then to fix it which I'll pick up next Saturday... My sister's boyfriend is fixing it an said about something they can put in the tyre to prevent future punctures?! Has anyone got any experience of this? Worth it? He said it was around £30ish.
GO!
Well the tyre gunk doesn't actually STOP punctures, it just seals them until you can get it repaired. Personally unless you are a geek with your tyres, and checking them every week for holes and stuff, then i think its a bit dangerous as you could be riding round on a gunk filled hole for weeks. Saying that, i know people who do have it.
Handy if you do a lot of miles i suppose. For me, id rather have the flat. At least i know its got a puncture.
As for my weekend, pretty underwhelming to be honest.

Had a cracking weekend, work on Saturday morning in London, £200 for a couple of hours work. Then went to Stamford Bridge and watched Everton beat Chelsea on pennos, bit of a rollercoaster of emotions but came good in the end. Got the train back to Reading and went out on the **** with my mate and went home with a stunner (No idea how I pulled that off) Yesterday I mostly sat about recovering, watching TV. Couldnt ask for much more.
RE the tyre thing, I know you can get kevlar strips for bicycle tires that are meant to be pretty good but not sure if there is a motorbike equivelant.

The grass is always greener on the other side. Whenever I am in a relationship (not often) I want my freedom back within a couple of months (if that) But then when I am going through a proper drought I think it would be much easier just to have a steady girlfriend. Guess its just a question of finding the right one.

your right on that one, you do have to find the right one, but you can have soooo much fun trying out the wrong ones too ;)
You are both spot on, my girlfriend is a good'un, been with her roughly a year and a half and not bored of her yet! I usually get bored after 3-4 months..
